Good day everyone! I’m Annika T.

Lara and I will discuss the

Motivational and Affective Factors

 When we say motivational, how the learners push themselves to learn and how they value
learning are the concerns of the motivational factors.
 Affective factor naman it relates to the attitude, feelings, and emotions that learners put into
the learning task.

So that’s the difference between motivational and affective factors.

So here are the principles of Motivational and Affective Factors

7. Motivational and emotional influences on learning

 The rich internal world of thoughts, beliefs, goals, and expectation for successor failure can
enhance or interfere with the learner’s quality of thinking and information processing.

Motivation is just like our few will to go on, it’s our few will to exert more effort in whatever we are
doing. Because we enjoy it, because we see its relevance, because it’s meaningful. Right? So, the
motivation must be sustained by the teachers. So, that students will keep on exerting their effort in
learning. They’ll keep on doing their best during the teaching and learning process. Okay? And its
influence also emotional space. Okay? So, they must be motivated when they are learning, they must
feel that enthusiasm in learning. It’s also influence by their beliefs and interest.

The next principle is

8. Intrinsic motivation to learn

 Intrinsic motivation is stimulated by tasks of optimal novelty and difficulty, relevant to

personal choice and control.

Curiosity, flexible and insightful thinking, and creativity are major indicators of the learners’
intrinsic motivation to learn.

Encourage and support learners’ natural curiosity and motivation to learn by attending to
individual differences in learners’ perceptions of optimal novelty and difficulty, relevance,
and personal choice and control.

We also have,
9. Effects of motivation on effort.
 Effort is another major indicator of motivation to learn. The
acquisition of complex knowledge and skills demands, the
investment of considerable learner energy and strategic effort, along
with persistence over time.
Well, I’ve already mentioned this a while ago that if a learner is motivated, they
more extend efforts on doing a certain task. Right? They would extend effort on
accomplishing a learning task. That is very important that the reason why we
must sustain motivation among our learners. that’s the nice principles effects of
motivation on effort.
So, that all from my part. Thank you & Godbless us all.
