Job Summary
As a Remote Freight Broker Agent at Central Trucking Services LLC, you will serve as the vital link between
shippers and carriers. Working 30-40 flexible hours per week, you'll be responsible for negotiating freight deals,
coordinating with carriers, and managing customer relationships. Your excellent communication and
organizational skills will enable you to work independently in a fast-paced environment, directly contributing to
the company's growth.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Freight Brokering & Sales:


 Engage in freight brokering activities including deal negotiation, contract management, and
shipment monitoring.
 Generate new sales opportunities by identifying potential customers and establishing
connections with them through cold calling, cold emailing and through your previous
connections.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
 Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing their queries and concerns.
 Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their
specific needs and preferences.
3. Carrier Coordination:
 Identify suitable carriers for customer requirements and coordinate all aspects of the
transportation process.
 Establish and manage relationships with carriers to ensure reliable and timely service.
4. Use of Transportation Management System (TMS):
 Leverage TMS software to streamline operational processes like dispatch, tracking, and
reporting.
 Maintain accurate records in the system for auditing and reporting purposes.
5. Communication:
 Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills when interacting with
customers, carriers, and internal teams.
 Use email and phone as primary means of communication to update stakeholders on
shipment status, changes, or delays.
6. Operational Independence:
 Work independently to handle all operations and communications related to freight
brokering.
 Exercise sound judgement to solve problems and make decisions, without requiring constant
oversight.
7. Time Management and Organization:
 Efficiently prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
 Use organizational tools to keep track of multiple shipments, ensuring all are executed
smoothly.
8. Compliance and Reporting:
 Ensure all operations adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
 Generate and submit reports on freight activities, customer interactions, and carrier
performance.
9. Professional Development:
 Participate in training programs and utilize company-provided tools to enhance job
performance.
 Stay updated on industry trends, rules, and technologies to keep your expertise current.
10. Networking:
 Attend industry events and engage with online logistics communities to expand professional
connections.
 Leverage your network to bring new business and improve service offerings.
