MASTER BIOMES

By Abhiraj Shah

SINCE 2015
Introduction
Hello My name is Abhiraj and I am a represnetative of
Master Biomes. Our NGO is one of the biggest NGO's
and is helped multiple biomes. Our Team Consists about
10,000 members.OUr Job is to protect and inforce
biomes. We do anything to protect these biomes since
this is our job,and we want to do our part. Today We
are going to be talking about Tundras and why it is
important to save tundras. We are supporting the
betterment of the Ecosystem and creating awareness
about how it can be achieved.
Audience

Our audience is very big and we tell

people physically and digitally.It is
our goal to make the place a better
place.We go Schools,Public
Areas,Local Community’s and explain
and make them aware about what is
going on.Then If they would like to
help us they can and can take part in
the NGO.
Of all the biomes, tundra is the coldest.
Tunturi, which means treeless plain in Finnish, is the
root of the word tundra.
It is renowned for its landscapes that have been
shaped by frost, extremely low temperatures, limited
precipitation, insufficient nutrients, and brief growth
seasons. An organic substance that has died serves as
a nutrient source. The freezing temperatures and brief
growing seasons of the tundra type of habitat prevent

trees from developing well.
Location

Arctic tundra can be found in the areas immediately

below the ice caps, and it can be found in Siberia in
Asia, North America, and Europe.
The tundra biome encompasses most of Alaska and
roughly half of Canada.
Other places throughout the world also have tundra
on the summits of very tall mountains.
Animals and Plants
The musk ox, the Arctic hare, the polar
bear, the Arctic fox, the caribou, and
the snowy owl are among the creatures
that inhabit the tundra.
Caribou and semipalmated plover are
two examples of creatures that inhabit
the tundra and move to warmer climes
in the winter.

Arctic moss, Arctic willow, Caribou

moss, Labrador tea, Arctic poppies,
cotton grass, lichens, and moss are a
few examples of the plants that can be
found on the tundra.
Tundras will be the topic of our discussion today.
Tundras are a beautiful biome in their own right.
However, tundras are being destroyed in a variety of ways
due to a variety of circumstances, including The mining, oil,
and gas sectors have the potential to harm delicate tundra
environments. Permafrost can be thawed by drilling wells,
but heavy machinery and pipeline construction can harm the
soil and hinder regrowth of plants. Additionally, this action
raises the possibility of harmful spills. This is bad for the

Situation
enviornment becuase there our so many living organsims
that get killed.
How are Animals
affected
Additionally, flourishing plants smother lichen, a crucial
source of nutrition for caribou and other animals.
Wildfires and droughts could become more common in
warmer tundras; in western Greenland, lakes
significantly disappeared between 1969 and 2017.
Tundra ecosystems are impacted by air pollution in
several ways. According to a new study, air pollution
makes clouds more susceptible to forming in the Arctic
and has a blanketing effect.
Snow can accumulate black carbon from diesel
engines, fires, and other forms of combustion, which
reduces snow's ability to reflect sunlight and hastens
melting.
These are only a few of the factors that influence them.
How are Plants

These have an impact on the creatures that live there as
well as the vegetation that inhabit the tundras.
By phasing out fossil fuels, we can reduce the
harmful, climate-warming pollutants that endanger
Earth's tundra environments.Other strategies
involve restricting or banning industrial activity
while creating havens and safeguards for particular
species and areas.Since it won't be destroyed and

ecosystem.spreading knowledge about tundras
and the need to protect them
Raising awareness through billboards,
documentaries, music, and other media. This will
result in an effective approach because many
individuals watch presentations and videos.Giving
to several NGOs (Like Master Biomes)Participate in
these NGOs and help them improve tundra
conditions.By doing this, the NGO's may
experience an economic boom, giving them more
time and resources to improve the tundra.
Importance
The Tundra is crucial to the planet's ability to
regulate its temperature. Warm air rises from the
tropics, but as it descends, it sinks back down to the
equator because it gets cooled in the tundra. Air
currents and weather are caused by this. Without
this mechanism, the global climate as we know it
would significantly shift.

Areas that once supported life may no longer do so.

In the winter, many different bird species use it as a
home. Other species that depend on them would
suffer catastrophic alterations if they were to
disappear from the food chain.
A major contributor to the world's biodiversity is the
tundra.
Conclusion
Extremely low temperatures and barren, icy terrain
define the tundra biome. The extreme cold weather
and the high northern latitude govern the tundra's
ecology. A magnificent environment like the tundra
shouldn't be destroyed. Visit www.Superbiomes.in
