"REHABILITATION OF COMFORTS ROOMS WITHIN EVERY CLASSROOMS"

I. INTRODUCTION

For the past years, poor comfort rooms facilities is one of the problem why students find
it useless or inconvenient to use. With this, it's important to know whether comfort
rooms deserves its priority to be comfortable to use. With the help of this study the we
guarantee that the said will be able to determine the possible solutions of this project
and with this study this can also benefit the students in public high schools in Senator
Ninoy Aquino Sultan Kudarat and one example of public high school in Senator Ninoy
Aquino is the Senator Ninoy Aquino National High School. The cleanliness of an
educational facility’s restrooms has a major effect on how the institution is perceived. As
a student, we all know that a lot of us are not used to dirty comfort rooms in schools.
Comfortroom is one of the most important parts of the school. It is important to us,
students as we use it in our everyday lives. Not all the schools have a clean comfort
rooms with complete equipment. So, I hereby to implement a project that can help to
improve their proper hygiene. To create such project needs a better and acceptable
reasons for it to work out comfort room with lockers would be an essential and
convenient place forhardworking students.

II. PURPOSE OF THE STUDY

The purpose of this report is to propose the rehabilitations of the comfort rooms in
the school. This rehabilitation will provide the students comfort rooms where they can
experience convenience and indeed, comfort. Its motive is to promote health and
personal hygiene awareness among the students.

This study aims to return awareness toward having inconvenient comfort rooms in public
school as an example of public high school in Senator Ninoy Aquino is the Senator Ninoy
Aquino National High School.

III. PRELIMINARY LITERATURE REVIEW

"Comfort rooms cleanliness is far more important than a lot of establishments

understand," says Daniel Howard, Chairman of the marketing Department at Southern
Methodist University (2009). "A host ofresearch in the area of service quality and
consumer behavior shows thatthe physical attributes of a facility, including the
cleanliness of restroom floors, counters, and fixtures, has significant impact on people's
perceptions of whether that business or organization can meet their needs. That, in turn,
has an effect on whether people will return and do businesswith that organization
again."Further, dirty restrooms can trigger "anxiety and avoidance,"according to Wade
Rowatt(2011), Associate Professor of Psychology at Baylor university.
Dirty restrooms "can serve as a cue that an establishment is poorly managed or has a
sloppy, unprofessional staff," he says.Morrison (2014) there is cost-effective-and cost-
saving-ways to have restrooms with cleanliness. Traditional methods of restroom
sanitation tendto be time consuming, labor intensive, and physically stressful, Morrison
says, requiring cleaning workers to kneel, crouch, and bend. "And it's notvery sanitary,
either," he adds. "We now have studies that tell us that as acleaning cloth or mop gets
used, it can spread as many contaminants as it removes."Kennedy (2012).

At a minimum, schools and universities need to provide comfort room that are cleaned
regularly to kill germs and preventthe spread of disease; that are outfitted with fixtures
and equipment thatward off the temptations of vandalism; and that allow for a level
ofsupervision that deters would-be bullies from using a restroom break toharass
vulnerable fellow students. In addition, facility managers looking to save energy and cut
costs should seek washroom designs that conservewater and rely less on artificial
lighting. In addition to an effective cleaning strategy, schools can fight the dissemination
of germs by selecting the right fixtures and equipment. Frequent and thorough hand
washing is a criticalstep in trying to avoid contact with germs, but even with regular
washing, restroom users can pick up germs each time they touch a door.

IV. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

•To give convenience to the students by giving a better facility.

•To make use of the paid tuition fees and see that the money that they are paying not
only goes to therenovation of classroom and campus, but also for a safe and
comfortable restrooms.

•To give more privacy for the male students and to give female students.

V. RESEARCH QUESTIONS AND HYPOTHESIS

• Are all comfort room's in Senator Ninoy Aquino National High School sufficient for the
students especially the Señor High School, the teachers and staffs to use?

• Does the inconvenience of Comfort rooms in Senator Ninoy Aquino National High
School affects the learning of students and working of staffs and teachers?

• Are all the comfort rooms still safe for all the users?

VI. PROPOSED METHODOLOGY

I hereby to implement a project that can help to improve their proper hygiene, to create
such project needs a better and acceptable reasons for it to work out comfort room with
lockers would be an essential and convenient place for hardworking students. The
proposed the methodology for this study is qualitative data collection and analysis
method. The study will involve the following steps.

• Survey: Surveyors may conduct the survey to know some information about this study.
Survey students, faculty members and also the parent to know their opinions about it
and to inform them about the benefits when it take action to this project.

• Interview: Conducting a depth-inteview to the relevant team members, teacher,

faculty/staffs and also the students who belong to this study. And also the expertise
person who is assigned and relevant about this big project in the school.

• Cost Analysis: Discuss and conduct the cost of this proposed project, including the
materials needed, equipment, labors and etc.

• Data Analysis: Analyze the data collected from the survey, interview and also the
conduction of cost about this rehabilitation project.

• Recommendations: Providing recommendations of the researcers, to better know

what are we going to do about this project, to know what is the big benefits of this in
every individual.

VII. PROPOSED RESEARCH TIMELINE

If this project will be approved, it will build as soon as possible. By 7 months and 15 days,
it will be done and ready to use.
