Intended use
REZOXY D-50/400 can be used for:
1) Disinfection of surfaces, floors, walls, materials;
2) Process-water disinfection;
3) Disinfection of internal pipe systems (CIP), storage tanks, bulk transport trucks;
4) Surface & air disinfection by vaporisation (“fogging”);
5) Fruit & Vegetable Disinfection;

REZOXY D-50/400 is suitable for killing bacteria, fungi, viruses and spores.

Intended users
Food and beverage industry, breweries, meat-packing and food-processing industry.

Recommendations for use:

1) Disinfection of surfaces, floors, walls and equipment


First wash and rinse the surfaces, floors, walls and materials to be disinfected
thoroughly with water. Depending on the contact time, the recommended
concentration of REZOXY D-50/400 varies between 2% and 6%.

1.1 Surfaces, floors and walls


Sprinkle the surface with the 2-6% diluted solution. Use as much as is needed to keep
the surface moist during the contact period. Allow to work for 5-60 minutes (see
table above). Rinse afterwards, if desired. Otherwise sweep surfaces and floors dry.

1.2 Equipment
Immerse the material and equipment in a 1-2% solution of REZOXY D-50/400 and
allow to interact for at least 15 minutes. Rinse the material afterwards, if desired.

1.3 Packaging
REZOXY D-50/400 can be used to disinfect packaging by spraying a 0.5-1% solution
into the package. This can be done to extend the end-product’s shelf-life.

2) Process-water disinfection
Starting with a clean system, the recommended dosage to prevent growth of micro-
organisms is 20 to 40 ppm REZOXY D-50/400 (20 to 40ml per 1000l water). With REZOXY
D-50/400, optimal microbiological water quality is ensured.

3) Disinfection of pipe systems (biofilm removal) & storage tanks
a. Disinfection of pipe systems (including CIP)
If polluted, the pipe system should preferably be cleansed first and rinsed out
with water.
The dosage will vary according to water temperature:
- water temperature > 30°C: 250 ppm (250 ml per 1000 litres water)
- water temperature < 30°C: 500 ppm (500 ml per 1000 litres water)
Duration of action: 1 hour. Rinse afterwards with pure water, if desired.

b. Disinfection and cleaning of pipe systems (including CIP)


The dosage will vary according to water temperature:
- water temperature > 30°C: 0.1% (1 litre per 1000 litres water)
- water temperature < 30°C: 0.3% (3 litres per 1000 litres water)
Duration of action: 1 hour. Vent and rinse afterwards with pure water.

c. Storage tanks, bulk trucks, etc.


For final disinfection of the inner surface, a 2% concentration of REZOXY D-
50/400 is recommended, and contact time 60 minutes The container should be
rinsed out with pure water to ensure no product remains.

4) Surface & air disinfection by vaporisation (“fogging”)

Surface disinfection
Apply 0.26% (v/v) REZOXY D-50/400 with a fogging devise for a period of 5 – 15 minutes
on pre-cleaned surfaces and allow to air dry. No rinsing required.

Apply 3% - 6% (v/v) REZOXY D-50/400 with a fogging device for at least one hour. After
disinfection, all surfaces which come into contact with food must be rinsed with clean
water.

Air disinfection
At critical areas (e.g. filling zones), the infection pressure can be reduced by fogging
REZOXY D-50/400 into the air.

After disinfection, all surfaces which come into contact with food must be rinsed with
clean water.

5) Fruit & vegetable disinfection:
The recommended dosage is 10ml REZOXY D-50/400 in 1 Litre water (1% solution).
Immerse the fruit & vegetables for 2 – 5 minutes in this solution. No rinse required
after application.

Biodegradability
REZOXY D-50/400 is biodegradable due to its decomposition into oxygen and water
(in accordance with AFNOR T 73-260 directives).

Storage conditions and shelf-life
Store the product in its sealed container at 10° – 30°C in a dark, low-traffic area. In its
closed packaging, the product can be kept for at least 2 years.
