Workshop 1

1. A project is a temporary, unique endeavor with specific objectives that requires careful planning, execution, and
management to achieve its goals within defined constraints. Its characteristics set it apart from ongoing
operational activities within an organization.

2. The Different stages of project planning are:


o Initiation- It includes defining the project objectives, identifying stakeholders,
o Planning- Developing a detailed project plan, including a project schedule, budget, and resource
allocation.
o Execution- Includes implementing the project plan by allocating resources and executing tasks
o Monitoring and Controlling- It is a continuous tracking of project performance against the plan
o Closure- All project deliverables are complete

3. Projects can fail for a variety of reasons, sometimes it is because of poor planning, lack of communication, weak
leadership, and inability to adapt with the changing circumstances.

4. Here ae several procedures in project execution:


o Start with a kickoff meeting to ensure that all team members understand the project's goals, scope,
roles, and responsibilities.
o Assign specific tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise.
o Ensure that all necessary resources, such as personnel, equipment, and materials, are allocated and
available when needed.
o Regular quality checks and inspections to ensure that work meets these standards.
o Maintain open and transparent communication channels among team members, stakeholders, and
relevant parties.
