Recruiting Team
Frucor Suntory
Palmerston North

Dear Recruiting Team, Kelly Lawson

Re: Merchandiser Palmerston North (5230)

I am a Bachelor of Horticultural Science Student at Massey University in Palmerston North. I

have been working for Dung Beetle Innovations where commercial dung beetle breeding
occurs for the beetles to be introduced onto New Zealand Farms to help our soils and
pastures, and to restore New Zealand waterways. I get along well with a variety of people. I
have worked in a variety of environments I believe that I am a great match for the role of
Merchandiser, and can use my skills, experience and attributes to help Frucor Suntory reach
your goals:

 All rounder. I I have experience in many different types of jobs. I have over three
years of experience working in the horticultural industry, three years of customer
service experience, and many casual and one-time jobs that required long hours and
night shifts, repetitive stocktaking work for major retailers, teamwork, and interacting
with the general public during significant events like Armageddon.

 Critical Thinking. Strong critical thinking abilities enable me to plan and organize my
work, solve problems quickly, and come to decisions. I can use this ability to ask for
assistance when I need it, which helps me do my job effectively.
.
 Eye for Detail I pride myself in being able to present and carry out work to a very
high professional standard. This requires me to have good attention to details in
ensuring that every task completed in in accordance to the steps asked to follow, in
presenting my work or completing a task. I can listen and follow instructions and
carry them out accordingly to the deadlines.

 Performance. In my time working for Dung Beetle Innovations, I have been on time,
tidy, completed work to a high standard in a timely manner, it was also competitive
and a lot of fun, which helped create a positive work environment. My skills as a
top picker during my time working for Phil Greig Strawberries allowed me to be paid
per kg of fruit picked rather than an hourly wage because I was so quick at picking. I
also performed my picking to a very high standard, adhering to the industry's
requirements for quality and safety, and I was able to mentor new pickers to
understand these requirements. Because I was working hard, performing well, and
demonstrating a strong interest in learning more I was given additional employment
opportunities within the company.

I welcome the opportunity to speak with you in more detail about this position and how I
could use my skills to benefit your organisation. Thank you for considering my application. I
look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
Ana O’Keeffe
