ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT
JUNE 2014

School Year 2014-2015 has just started last June 2, 2014 and this again gave all teachers
an opportunity to perform task based on their respective description for the attainment of the
DepEd’s goal. June 2014 is just the beginning of varieties of things to perform & the
Mathematics Department hereby states its accomplishment for the month.
For the students to become aware of what might be done inside the school campus,
teachers conducted a smooth orientation about the rules and regulations of the school. Each
subject teachers also set their classroom policies as a support to the said rules and regulations.
They were able to facilitate students in electing classroom officers and Math Club members. A
pre-test for the first semester was also scheduled earlier to diagnose student’s strengths and
weaknesses for the teacher to think of possible strategies and techniques to use in dealing with
the subject.
Mathematics Department also showed its support in the conduct of Batangas Public
School Teachers and Employees Credit and Cooperative (BPSTECC) meeting held last June 7,
2014. Last June 12, 2014, The Math Department, together with the Wenceslao Family, joined in
the celebration of Independence Day held at Fernando Airbase,Lipa City. This was followed by
Gender and Development ( GAD ) Training at La Virginia Resort also in Lipa City.
As stipulated in the DepEd Calendar of activities for School Year 2014-2015, the
Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HPTA) was held last June 21, 2014 which made
possible to all advisers and non-advisers to meet and discuss with parents some issues and
concerns about the students and the school community. This meeting enabled the class
advisers to solicit support from the parents through electing HPTA officials.
In order to create an environment conducive for learning math-teacher advisers took
effort in repainting and repairing classroom’s walls, ceilings, chairs, chalkboard, roof, wiring and
lighting. Other teachers were able to acquire window curtain. Math teachers with vacant in the
first period decorated the Math Bulletin Board in the Mathematics Learning Resource Center.

JULY 2014

The activities set by every mathematics teacher with respect to their monthly plan of
activities smoothly run for the month of July 2014. They continuously observed the
implementation of school rules and regulations and tracked learners’ achievement. They were
also successfully conducted the 2 culminating activities for month namely Sudoku and Abstract
Reasoning. The championship for Sudoku Challenge is forwarded for the coming Intramural
Meet. All were able to attend the special meeting called for by the principal such as Secretary’s
Hour, Implementation of School Rules and Regulations and Assessment of Rating of Learning
Outcomes. The finalization of RPMS-IPCRF of Mathematics Department was also held last July 8,
2014.

Election of new set of officers of Board of Directors 2014 last July 11, 2014 was attended
by Ricson B. Botabara, the Election Committee Vice Chairperson and Melchora N. Gonzales, the
Head of Mathematics Department, who welcomed the participants. Test Construction in
preparation for the First Quarter Examination was done ahead by all Math teachers which they
set last July 29, 2014.

AUGUST 2014

August 2014 is a great preparation for the Mathematics department. Here came the
preparation and administration of the First Periodical Test as well as the submission of
important reports and records such as item analysis, school strategic plan and school
intervention program. Three weeks after was the release of school report card and the General
PTA meeting which was set last August 30, 2014.

Different contests in Mathematics as stipulated in the Division Memorandum No. 23, s.

2014 dated 18 August 2014 helped us in providing, experiencing and preparing students in
various contests and competitions such as Math Quiz Bee, Math Techno Quiz, Damath, Sudoku
and Rubik’s Cube for the coming Area Level this September 15, 2014. Mathematics Teachers in
all year levels conducted a culminating activity prior to this activity which also served as a
school elimination round of each category per section. Winners from each section were
gathered for the final school elimination. All first place winners from the school will be the
school’s representative for the coming Area Level.

SEPTEMBER 2014

September 2014 has become the fruitful month for the Mathematics Department in the quest
for mathematically gifted students. This is because five of the students from different year level had
received a place in Area Level Science and Math Quest 2014 which was held last September 23, 2014 at
Wenceslao Trinidad NHS, Laurel, Batangas. The top placer students and teacher were:

1. Sangalang, Roxanne- 2nd place, Math Techno Quiz G7-Individual

2. Villanueva, Jean Ericka C. – 2nd place, Math Techno Quiz G9-Individual

3. Badillo, Jhoan – 2nd place, Math Quiz Bee 4th Year Individual

4. Maristela, Pauline – 3rd place, Damath G8

5. Legaspi, Katelyn- 1st place, Damath G9

6. Biscocho, Aeron Sean- 2nd place Rubik’s Cube Challenge

7. Balog, Leonisa G.- 3rd place, Damathan ( Teacher’s Category)

It is indeed a busy month for the teacher-coaches before the said event and even after the Area Level
for the preparation of the coming Division Level. Only the first and second place winners are qualified in
the Division Level.
