Fondation:

1. Site Preparation:
- Clear the construction site of vegetation, debris, and obstructions.
- Excavate the area to the required depth and dimensions based on the building design and soil
conditions.

2. Slab and Footing Preparation:

- Lay a layer of gravel or crushed stone for improved drainage and stability within the excavation.
- Install formwork to define the edges of the slab and footings. The formwork is typically made of
wood that creates the desired shape for the concrete elements.
- Place reinforcement, such as steel mesh or rebar, within the formwork to add strength to the slab
and footings.

3. Concrete Pouring for Slab and Footings:

- Mix concrete then pour the concrete into the prepared formwork for the slab and footings.
- Level and smooth the surface of the concrete with a screed or trowel to achieve a flat and even
finish.
- Allow the concrete to cure. Curing times depend on factors such as weather and the concrete mix.
4. Pumice Wall Construction:
- After the slab and footings have cured sufficiently, remove the formwork from the edges.
- Use pumice blocks to construct the foundation walls on top of the cured slab. Pumice block is a
lightweight and insulating material.
- Bond the pumice blocks together. Ensure that the walls are plumb and level.

5. Waterproofing:

- Apply a waterproofing membrane or coating to the exterior side of the pumice walls. Ensure
thorough coverage to prevent moisture infiltration.
- Pay close attention to sealing joints and corners to create a continuous waterproof barrier.

6. Curing :

- Allow the pumice walls and slab to continue curing.

5. Backfilling:
- If needed, backfill the area around the foundation to provide support to the pumice walls and
direct water away from the foundation.
6. Installation of rebars mat

Spacers maintain the distance

between the base and the rebars

7. Wood Formwork installation and reinforcement

Adding steel reinforcement to the pedestrial columns. This reinforcement helps improve the
structural integrity and load-bearing capacity of the columns.
