teaching profession.
Reflection:

These artifacts are from the “Fun Run” at Eyestone Elementary School. The top one shows the
students participating in the event and the bottom one shows my co-teacher and I’s participation
in it. After assisting with a math assessment during the morning session, we helped to transition
the students to begin the “Fun Run” outside. During this event, we ran/walked with the students,
cheered them on, and helped them to rest their bodies when they became tired. Even though this
event wasn’t part of the teaching in our practicum experience, we showed our leadership and
dedication to the school, community, and teaching profession by being a part of the event.

Through this, I demonstrated ethical conduct and leadership as I showed the students that I care
about them inside and outside of the classroom. Each student seemed thrilled to have us there to
watch them run, which is why dedicating yourself to the teaching profession as a whole is so
important. Teaching isn’t only about the educational part, it is more about the relationships and
support that you provide to each of your students.
