All of us at Legacy Traditional School - North Valley are stunned and deeply troubled by allegations
of physical abuse toward one or more students by a former teacher. This conduct is simply
unacceptable. The individual in question is no longer an employee, and we are cooperating fully
with police as they conduct their investigation.

The safety and well being of Legacy students, teachers and staff members is our highest priority
and we have a no tolerance policy for any behavior that causes physical or emotional harm to any
member of our school community. Every applicant to work with us is subject to a criminal
background check and fingerprint screening prior to employment.

A school counselor is available to any student who may need support, and we will continue updating
our families and the public with information as it becomes available.

Our focus remains on educating our students in a safe and caring learning environment, and we will
continue to place this as our priority within our school community.
