INTRODUCCION

This work has the purpose that the cadet learns to function in the most optimal way with
the English language, since this language is considered as a universal language; so, it is
essential that young cadets know how to express themselves using this language.
In this monographic work we will see how to correctly use the verb Verb To Be, Simple
Present Do-Does, Modal CAN, Present Continuous, Simple Past BE (WAS/ WERE),
Simple Past (Regular and Irregular verbs)

BIOGRAPHI OF RICARDO PALMA

BIRTH
According to his biographers, the hero was born
on February 7, 1833 in Lima.

FATHERS
His parents were Pedro Palma and Dominga Soriano,
Peruvians from the provinces and popular condition
whom the old capital of the Spanish viceroys and
patriotic presidents had welcomed like other
immigrants who were looking for a better destiny.d

FORMATION AND STUDIES

Palma was an irregular student at the Colegio de
San Carlos when, directed by the priest and
traditionalist thinker Bartolomé Herrera, he was
the best in the country. His poor economy and
little interest in studying determined him to work, and in 1853 he entered to serve the
State as a third officer of the Political Corps of the Navy, the Navy unit that dealt with
administrative tasks, thanks to the support of his friends. and protectors Miguel del
Carpio, jurist and patron, and Juan Crisóstomo Torrico, the powerful Minister of War
and Navy.

PERSONAL LIFE
The ambush of the Quebrada de Porotillo

It took place on September 11, at 11 in the

morning, during a reconnaissance over a
long range of action (40 kilometers). The
group was made up of 3 officers (EP Captain
Alfredo Novoa Cava, Ensign EP Luis
Reynafarge Hurtado and Lieutenant GC
Alipio Ponce Vásquez) and 23 members of
the enlisted personnel, including 2nd
Sergeant GC Emiliano Tapia Díaz and
Guard GC Luis Zumarán carpió

DEATH
Ricardo Palma passed away on October 6,
1919, he died while he was sleeping. He was
86 years old.
His remains are found in the Presbítero
Matías Maestro Cemetery.
