Details of your match format and duration can be found on the
leagues4you website (just search for your league). Matches are played in
line with England Netball rules. There are a few adjustments we make
such as attire rules and no injury time but don't worry too much our
umpires will guide all teams.

Match points are awarded as follows. Win 5pts, Draw 3pts. If your team is
within 5pts of the winning score 2pts and within half of winning score 1
point.

umpires.
It’s the umpires who are integral to a
smooth-running game.

All our leagues are officiated by at least

one umpire. Some of our leagues have
two. Their primary function is the
interpretation and application of the
rules of netball.

To help make the game the best it can

be, it's vital we all play our part and
continuously show the umpires respect.

After all, it wouldn't happen without

them.

umpire pay.
Teams pay the umpire direct.

Your team captain will be told in

advance of the season starting how
many umpires your league will have and
how much they cost.

As a general rule it's no more than £2

per player. In order to keep things nice
and simple we ask all teams to have the
correct amount and simply pass their
payment to the umpire in an envelope.

match forfeiture.
All teams are expected to fully commit to the whole season.

Any team unable to fulfil a fixture must email their League

Coordinator who will advise accordingly.

A team who are unable to fulfil their fixture will be deemed to have
forfeited that game to the opposition. The opposition will be
awarded the full 5 points and a match score of 15-0.

Teams forfeiting a fixture will still be charged their weekly match

fee. This applies to all fixtures cancelled during the course of one
season. The team cancelling the fixture will also be charged the
opposition match fee.
cross playing.
Sometimes life gets in the way of netball and teams are short of
players. We totally understand this and therefore we allow for cross
playing (playing for another team) in all of our leagues.

However, there is a but...

It's only fair that this is done in the spirit of the league and a level of
sportsmanship is applied. It isn't acceptable to borrow more advanced
players for a 'must win' game. You should always use the players you
have available and any players you borrow must only be used on a
'needs must' basis. If the player(s) you are using are a higher standard,
then it is the expectation that you play them in a position that they do
not usually play to reduce the advantage.

Your league will have a player request group, if you are struggling for
numbers reach out in there and you'll most likely find someone who is
keen to help you out.
