guide
to our
leagues.
netball.
the rules.
Details of your match format and duration can be found on the
leagues4you website (just search for your league). Matches are played in
line with England Netball rules. There are a few adjustments we make
such as attire rules and no injury time but don't worry too much our
umpires will guide all teams.
Match points are awarded as follows. Win 5pts, Draw 3pts. If your team is
within 5pts of the winning score 2pts and within half of winning score 1
point.
All results, fixtures and league tables can be found on the leagues4you
website, just search for your league.
umpires.
It’s the umpires who are integral to a
smooth-running game.
umpire pay.
Teams pay the umpire direct.
A team who are unable to fulfil their fixture will be deemed to have
forfeited that game to the opposition. The opposition will be
awarded the full 5 points and a match score of 15-0.
It's only fair that this is done in the spirit of the league and a level of
sportsmanship is applied. It isn't acceptable to borrow more advanced
players for a 'must win' game. You should always use the players you
have available and any players you borrow must only be used on a
'needs must' basis. If the player(s) you are using are a higher standard,
then it is the expectation that you play them in a position that they do
not usually play to reduce the advantage.
Your league will have a player request group, if you are struggling for
numbers reach out in there and you'll most likely find someone who is
keen to help you out.
player charter.
We rise by lifting others. We're big on this at leagues4you and every
week we see thousands of players laughing and sharing the love for
netball. Our player charter promotes every players responsibility to
ensure that leagues4you leagues remain the most enjoyed and positive
netball leagues in the UK.
If there is ever anything that you're not happy with or think we can
do better please get in touch. We don't always get it right but we
are always keen to understand how we can.
