Aethos Photon Barrier

These mark the latest and most popular line of portable defense barriers from the Helius
Corporation. A marked improvement over the clunkier predecessor, these barriers find common
usage among soldiers, ravagers, and rim runner outlaws alike.

You can use a bonus action to place this technomantic contraption on a surface within 5 feet
of you and activate it. A 5-foot wide and 5-foot tall transparent photon-based force barrier
materializes from the disc in an orientation of your choice, which provides cover for creatures
behind it. The barrier is less an inch thick; creatures in the space when the barrier appears are
pushed to one side of the barrier (their choice). The barrier is an object that can be destroyed;
it has AC 22, 40 hit points, and resistance to all damage except force. The barrier lasts for
1 minute or until destroyed or dispelled by a dispel magic spell. Once this barrier is used, it
cannot be used again until the next dawn.

Optional Attunement. This barrier is powered by an arcane battery, which you can magically
charge while you are attuned. As an action, you can expend a spell slot to regain one use of this
barrier.
