1) How effective was my research?

According to me, my research was both effective and informative, I had to research for
the presentation we were going to be using for an interactive workshop we were
conducting. I researched cyber safety tips and tricks, viruses and antiviruses and lastly
social media and its effects. The research was child-centric so I used websites that
ended with .edu and .org to ensure it was kid-friendly and appropriate. The information
also had to stem from reputable sources such as UN Cyber Safety and The American
Institute of Children's Cyber Security. The effectiveness of the research was also
confirmed by a feedback interview with the teacher who explicitly remarked on the
quality of the information.

2) What could I have done better?

I could have managed my time in a more efficient manner, which would have increased
my productivity and allowed me to complete a more thorough research analysis for the
presentation, my procrastination also delayed me from meeting a few internally set
deadlines that back-tracked the team. I could have also used my time to help out in other
parts of the outcome such as the content and graphics of the Instagram page, I could
have also added an additional outcome of posters in order to spread further awareness
about the cyber safety issue. Lastly, another thing that could have been improved is the
interactiveness of the presentation because one of the main feedbacks that we did
receive was there was a lack of pictures and videos which would have tied the whole
presentation together

3) What did I find out about different cultural perspectives on this issue?
We had two cultural perspectives, age and professional diversity throughout the course
of this project I explored the two different perspectives in depth and recorded how
different people responded, For example, we sent out a Google form with the question,
how informed are you about internet safety? the responses we got from older age
groups varied from the ones we received from younger kids, while older patrons did not
know much about the concept younger children were informed about the cyberspace
and commented on they felt it was important to stay informed and stay safe, we also got
answers from the middle-aged group who had kids and were worried about their kids
screentime and curious about types of internet safety. Our other cultural perspective is
professional diversity, the same question gave us the data that child psychologists and
teachers are the most informed on the issue and have the ways and resources to help
with cyber safety, parents know about the issue and while are concerned do not have the
adequate knowledge to demonstrate internet safety and lastly, the students have
boundless knowledge on the internet but do not regard cyber safety as an important
issue

4) What do I think about the different perspectives?

I think that the perspectives that we chose were good and related to the topic, we chose
age as our first perspective because it can be quite contrasting as different generations
were in different eras of technology and therefore faced different issues this helped us
develop our Instagram page and presentation that was relevant to the issues of the
current generation but used technical language that they could follow along, students
and parents have big age gap between them so it was our duty to make sure that the
presentation filled the gap and brought them both to one common point as a
compromise on internet safety. The second perspective we had was professional
diversity this was selected in order to classify the professions that had the most
knowledge on cyber-security so that we could gain valuable insight into the topic, we
also compared the knowledge different professions provide on internet safety, for
example, child psychiatrists and teachers would have more knowledge than other
professions

5) Have I changed my perspective?

No, I have not changed my perspective

6) Did we achieve our aim with our team project? Why or why not?
According to me, we achieved our aim with the project, this is because our outcomes
matched the issues perfectly. We combated the issue of unaware parents by creating an
Instagram page that caters towards furthering their understanding we also had another
outcome which involved educating the students from grade 6 this outcome involved
teaching children the dangers of the online world using games and quizzes to keep them
focused and attentive, we achieved our aim through a lot of collaboration and delegation
we chose the topic and outcomes together but delegated outcomes to each other this
was a vital part in the project being a success. We sent out a variety of feedback forms
to both parties and received positive feedback which helped us gauge the success of our
project

7) How well did we work as a team?

In my opinion, We worked very well in a team, we had strong communication and
collaboration by meeting at least once a week outside school on a Google Meet to
discuss the project and frequently communicating on the WhatsApp group we had
created specifically for the purpose of asking quick questions and staying in touch. In the
interactive workshop, all team members were in sync with each other and everyone
knew both their parts and their team members parts to ensure a flow in the workshop.
The group dynamic and attitude were cohesive therefore our outcomes were of high
quality

8) How well did I work within the team?

I think I worked well with the team as a whole, I was an active member of the group by
positively contributing to group discussions about the outcome and aim of the topic and
providing good quality work and feedback to my team members. I also worked well in a
team in terms of helping each member in their work and putting forth ideas on the table. I
was an active listener to both ideas that I understood and ideas that I did not like
because being a good member of a team involves listening and understanding more
than one perspective. I could have been a better member of the team by sticking to the
set deadlines as I feel that set the team back time-wise and my procrastination also
decreased the amount of work I could finish.

9) What have I learned from doing this project?

In the course of this project, I have learned the vital skill of time management through
internally and externally set deadlines. I have also learnt the skills of interaction as I am
usually a reserved person so through the interactive workshop I was able to discover a
new side to me which is good at public speaking I was able to improve my
communication through the project as there were a lot of parts that entailed collaboration
such as the Instagram page I also lastly developed my social media skill by helping on
the posts I learnt about different graphics and editing which really made the posts pop.
