Selected to present “Perfectionism Is Associated with Enhanced Systems of Orthorexia Nervosa in
Community Adults” at 2022 Association for Psychological Science (APS) Annual Convention in
Chicago. Received Undergraduate Research Grant to study mediating effects of orthorexia nervosa on
cognitive flexibility and emotion regulation. Prepared preliminary data for grant proposal presented to
Miami's Undergraduate Research Committee. Collaborated with 2 graduate students, faculty advisor, and 5+
undergraduate research assistants on future research projects and relevant publications.

Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources


Intern, May 2022 – August 2022
Advisor: Rachel Elder
Assisted in therapeutic horseback riding lessons and equine-assisted learning classes in order to support
students in achieving their social, physical, emotional, or cognitive goals. Assisted in community outreach
travel programs for those who are unable to receive services at the facility location. Assisted with student
and volunteer paperwork and database entry.

Scripps Gerontology Center, Miami University


Intern, January 2022 – May 2022
Advisor: Dr. Jane Straker
Collected data for state of Ohio’s Family Satisfaction Survey, which assesses feedback from family members
and friends of long-term care residents. Analyzed impact of COVID-19 on family satisfaction and prepared
inventory for future surveys. Organized helpline for facilities and family members including contact
information and maintaining points of contact with key stakeholders.

WORK EXPERIENCE

The Center for Mind-Body Medicine


Research Assistant, September 2023 – Present
Works alongside research team for a study on effectiveness of mind-body techniques on social and emotional
development of incarcerated individuals. Aim to explore impact on coping skills, meaning of life, depression
and anxiety, resilience, aggression, self-esteem, etc. Conducts consent interviews, data collection, and focus
interviews.

The Children’s TherAplay Foundation


Horse Handler, October 2022 – April 2023
Assists with therapy team by preparing and handling of horses during therapy sessions for children with
special needs. Ensures safety of therapist, patient and horse during therapy sessions through the handling
of the horses. Communicates with the therapist in order to provide the physical, emotional or behavioral
needs of the patient by using the movement of the horse as a therapeutic tool.

Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center


Registered Behavior Technician, August 2022 – November 2022
Works with children with autism to help them learn, communicate, and play. Supervised by a Board-
Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in order to implement the patient’s treatment plan. Reviews
behavior plans and instructional materials developed by BCBA’s in order to provide therapy. Monitors
behavioral progress and completes daily notes about the patient’s intervention plan.

Woodland Country Club


Pool Grill Supervisor, May 2021– August 2021
Record meeting notes and correspond with collaboration organizations. Develop and execute biology
projects locally as citizen scientists. Organize events to unite local students interested in biology and
present student projects in synthetic biology. Design and teach biology workshops to students.
