Rabindra Kumar Pradhan, PhD, is currently working as Associate

and Resilience
Professor of Psychology and Human Resources in the Department of
Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur,
India. His research areas are focused on employee health and well-being,
resilience, emotional intelligence, emotional labor, employee performance,
Theoretical Perspectives and employee health and well-being, workplace spirituality, organizational
citizenship behavior (OCB), HR flexibility, positive leadership, and HR
sustainability. He has more than 20 years of research and teaching experience
Practical Applications and has published numerous papers in many reputed peer-reviewed journals.
He has also published over 20 international book chapters and several edited
books in the area of emotional intelligence, human resources management, and
training and development. He is a member of the International Association of
Applied Psychology, Academy of Management, National Academy of
psychology, India, Indian Academy of Applied Psychology, and many others. He
is a recipient of many awards, including the ISTD Best Trainer Award, Best
Teacher Award in HRD, and Best Research Paper Award–ICOM, etc.
Updesh Kumar, PhD, is Scientist ‘G’ and Head of the Mental Health Division
at the Defense Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) of the R & D
Organization (DRDO) of the Ministry of Defense, Delhi, India. With a doctorate
degree in the area of suicidal behavior from Punjab University, Chandigarh,
India, he has more than 28 years of experience as a scientist in an R&D
organization. He specializes in the area of military psychology, personality
assessment, suicidal behavior, health psychology, and test development for the
selection of officers for the Indian Armed Forces (Personality Tests and
Intelligence Tests). Currently, he is also the project director of a mega project
titled “Comprehensive Soldier Fitness Program: Resilience Building” for the
Indian Armed Forces. Dr. Kumar has been involved in the selection of officers
and Personnel Below Officers’ Rank (PBOR) and is responsible for monitoring
the selection system of the Indian Armed Forces for the last 28 years. Dr.
Kumar has edited book volumes and written manuals on suicidal behavior,
countering terrorism, military psychology, positive psychology, and related
topics. He is the past editor of the Journal of Indian Academy of Applied
Psychology. In addition to completing many important research projects of
Indian Armed Forces, he has authored more than 60 other academic
publications in the form of research papers, journal articles, and book chapters
and represented his institute at the national and international levels. He has
received many awards, including the DRDO’s Scientist of the Year Award–2013,
DRDO’s Best Popular Science Communication Award by the Honorable Defense
Minister of India, DRDO Technology Group Award, the Professor Manju
Thakur Memorial Award (2009 and 2012) by the Indian Academy of Applied
Psychology, among others.
