Ball and Hoop POE

What you will need:

Ball and hoop apparatus, tongs, Bunsen burner, heat-proof mat

What to do:
1. Check that the ball fits through the hoops when both are at room temperature.
2. Now heat the ball over the Bunsen burner (blue flame) for a minute. DO NOT HEAT
THE CHAIN
3. Use the tongs to carefully place the ball on the hoop, does it still fit through?
4. Place the equipment onto the heat-proof mat to cool. The ball will remain hot for a
long period of time.
