RULES AND REGULATIONS :

•System of Play - The latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and the SWISS system will be followed.
• Tie Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come into effect. The Cash prizes will not be
shared.
• Electronic Devices - All electronic items including wrist watches (all type of watches) will not be allowed
in the tournament hall.
• AICF Player Registration - AICF registration is compulsory.
Existing Registration - For existing players please go to your player page in https://prs.aicf.in/players
and click on extend membership.
• New Registration - https://prs.aicf.in/new-register
• Protests - Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with protest
fee of Rs. 1000/- within 15 minutes after completion of the game to committee. The protest fee will be
refunded if the appeal is upheld.
• Appeals Committee - Before the commencement of the Tournament, appeals committee comprising of
five members, will be formed from the senior participants present in the players meeting. The appeals
committee decision will be final and binding on all the players concerned.
• Withdrawals - A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the chief arbiter in
writing.
• Players qualified for more than one prizes will be considered only for higher prize
• Indian Income Tax Act and Rules will be applicable
• Attendance is mandatory at the award ceremony to receive the prize
• AFCA FIDE Rating Chess Tournament is a public event that will be photographed and filmed. Players
and spectator’s images may be photographed any time in the event. Your participation in the tournament
will be accepted as your consent that you understand that All Faridabad Chess Association has the right
to broadcast your image in conjunction with our event, promotions related to the event, through our
social media channels, and any other media related to our event.
• Entry fee will be refunded, if informed prior to 7 days before the event date and STRICTLY NON-
REFUNDABLE after that, as arrangements according to the registration must be done by the organizer.
