Rules: FIDE Rules in force Shall Apply

Prizes : One Player will get only one prize. Either in the main category or in the
sub category which ever cash prize is higher. main category will get higher
precedence in case of same cash in both.

System of play: The tournament shall be conducted on a nine rounds of swiss

system.

Time control: 30minutes each+ 30 seconds increment per move from move no 1

Default time: Default time is 15 minutes. Players have to be at the boards within
15 minutes from the start of the round.

Draw offer: Players shall not agree for the draw before black’s 30th move,
without consent of the arbiter.

Tie-break: Buchholz cut1, Buchholz , Sonneborn Berger, Direct Encounter, number

of wins (forfeit included) and greater number of wins by black tie break rules will
be applied. Incase of tie, prizes will not be shared.

AICF Player Registration: AICF player registration is compulsory for all players.
AICF Player Registration fee is Rs. 300/ for the year 2023-2024. AICF player
registrations will be accepted only through online. Players registration should be
done well before the start of event. For renewing AICF registration of existing

Protests: Protests if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in
writing with protest fee of Rs.1000/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the
incident to the appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is
upheld.

Appeals Committee: Before the commencement of the Tournament, appeals

committee will be formed from the senior participants present at the players
meeting. The appeals committee decisions will be final and binding for all players
concerned.
Withdrawals: A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the
chief arbiter in writing.

Electronic Devices: Any kind of Wrist Watches and Mobile phones are strictly not
allowed while playing the event.

Food & Snacks: Food & Snacks are available on payment basis in Venue.

Interpretation: For interpretation of the rules and deciding any point not covered
by the rules, the decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final and binding.
The Tournament Committee has every right to make any additional or amendment
to these rules, without notice. Such changes will, however be displayed at the
tournament hall.

Entry Fee: No Spot Entries will be Entertained. Entry Fees are non-refundable and
non-transferable.
TDS: Applicable TDS amount will be deducted from the Prize M oney. Waiving of
TDS or GST is not possible in any case.

Eligibility : Only players who have not crossed the FIDE Rating of 1599 in the past
36 months prior to the start of the Event are eligible to participate. Players who
finished 1st or 2nd in any rating restricted tournament are not eligible to play in
any rating restricted tournament for 1 year from the date of such achievement.
players who are found guilty (as above rules) at any stage of the tournament will
be withdrawn from the tournament & entry fees shall not be refunded.
