2. No entry will be entertained after 24th Nov 2023 (up to 19:00 Hrs).
3. System of Play: The Championship will be played under FIDE's Laws of Chess and the
Swiss system. Total Eight rounds shall be played.
4. Default Time: Default time for arriving to the chessboard is 15 minutes.
5. Time Control: The rate of play shall be 60 minutes with an increment of 30 seconds per
move from move number one.
a. Tie Break: Following is the order of tie-break: i. Buchholz Cutl, ii. Buchholz, iii. Sonneborn
Berger, iv. Direct encounter, v. The greater number of wins (forfeit included) In case of tie,
cash prizes will not be shared. One player get one higher prize only.

6. Protest: Protest, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing
with a protest fee of Rs.2000/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The
protest fee will be refunded if the appeal is up held.
7. Appeals Committee: Before the commencement of the tournament, a three member
appeals committee shall be formed by the organizers. All the members and reserves shall
be from different districts. No member of the Committee can vote on a dispute in which a
player from his own districts is involved and in such case(s) the reserve member(s) shall
take his place in the committee.
8. Registration of Players with AICF: All participants in the State Championship shall be
registered with AICF for the year 2023-2024 before the registration on AICF Online portal
for State Entries. Online AICF registration can be done at the website www.aicf.in/players
PSCA registration fee for all Rs.100/-must be paid by the player to organizer to register with
PSCA 2023-24.
9. Electronic Devices: All electronic items including wrist watches (all type of watches) are
not allowed in the tournament hall.
10. Accommodation: Parents and Players have made own arrangements.

Eligibility Criteria :-
• Participants should be the residents of Punjab State.
• Players must not have a published Rating of 2300 or greater for at least one year prior
to the start of the Championship.
• Male or female both can participate.
