 TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES

Entries/Entry Fee:- Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand Only).

For Surguja & Baster Division:- Rs.500/- (Five Hundred Only).
Late fee: Please note that the entry fee structure is valid till 8th August 2023. Thereafter, a late fee of Rs.
250/- per player will be levied. No entry will be entertained after 12th August 2023 (upto 5 PM).
Note – Entry fee/CGSCA Registration fee should be deposited in the official A/c of CGSCA ie: Punjab
National Bank Rajnandgaon Branch otherwise entry will be not accepted.
System of play – The tournament will be conducted as per fide laws of chess & Fide swiss system with 7
rounds.
Time Control – 60 minutes each with increment of 30 seconds from move number one.
Default Time – Default time will be 15 minutes.
Tie Break – The Tie-Break will be in following order:-
1. BUCHHOLZ CUT 1, 2. BUCHHOLZ all
3. SONNEBORN BERGER, 4. DIRECT ENCOUNTER, 5. GREATER NO OF VICTORIES

Electronic Devices – All electronics devices including wristwatches (all types of watches) are not allowed
in the tournament hall.
Protest - Protest, if any against the decision of Chief Arbiter, shall be made in written with protest fee of
Rs. 1,000/- within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incidence. The amount shall be refunded if the
appeal is upheld.
Appeals Committee - Five members + Two reserve appeal committee shall be formed. No member of
the committee can vote on dispute in which a player from himself is involved and in such cases, the
reserve can take his place in the committee.
Disqualification - No participant will leave the tournament venue before the prize distribution function
without the permission of the Chief Arbiter. Otherwise his/her prize and certificate will be forfeited and
disciplinary action will be taken.
Registration- All the players must be registered with AICF and CGSCA for the year 2023-24 to
participate in the tournament. Those who are not registered with AICF and CGSCA are required to
do through following link.

Accommodation: Free dormitory type accommodation will be provided to participants.
Accompanying person shall have to make their own arrangements.
Those who do not wish to avail dormitory facility can make their own arrangements.
