Kaushambi District Chess Sports Association is organizing 17th UP State Chess Championship-
2023 Fide Rated on behalf of UP Chess Sports Association from 14th to 17th July 2023. Free lodging
(dormitory) will be provided to all the selected entries and one official manager of respective district
team, others and accompanying persons will be charged Rs.800/- per person.

Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded in following manner: -

1st - 8000/-, 2nd - 6000/-, 3rd - 4000/-, 4th - 3000/-, 5th - 2500/-. 6th – 2000/-,

7th – 1500, 8th to 10th – 1000/-

Entry Fee: - For regular entry Rs.800/- and for special entry Rs.1500/- (No Spot Entry)

Entries/Entry Fee: All entries including special entries should come through the concerned District Association.

Last Date of Entry: - 11-07-2023. No entry will be accepted after 6:00 PM on - 11-07-2023.

Late Fee: -Please note that the entry fee structure is valid till 11th July, 2023.There after a late fee of Rs.200/- per player
will be levied. No entry will be entertained after 13th July 2023 (up to 17:00 hrs)

Registration: - All participants shall be registered with AICF & UPCSA for the year 2023-2024. registration fees of AICF
is Rs.300/- Online AICF registration can be done at the website www.aicf.in/players, registration fees of UPCSA Rs. 225/-,
deposit the fee in UPCSA bank account (bank details given below) and fill the google form, link given below:
Representation: - First four players selected from the event will represent UP State in National Championships.

Tournament System: -
i. The tournament will be played under the Swiss System of league governed by latest FIDE rules for chess.
ii. Each session will be of 90 minutes + 30 seconds increment from the first move.
iii. FIDE Tie break Rule should be applied
iv. Protest if any, can be made within 30 minutes from the completion of the games along with a protest fee of Rs.2000/
which is refundable if protest is upheld.
v. The decision of Appeals committee will be final and binding to all.

ELIGIBILITY: -

i. Four Players from every affiliated District/Unit of UPCSA (recommended by district secretary on district letter head).
All the arrears of affiliation fee including current year (2023-24) and other dues (if any) must be cleared by the
concerned District/Unit prior to submission of entries. Units which have not completed the renewal process up to 30th
April 2023 are disaffiliated as per rules of the association section 5(5). Players participating from district without
association have to pay Rs. 800/- entry fees for the tournament.
ii. Top two players from the previous U.P State U-7, U9, U11, U13, U17, Chess Championship (Girls) & top four
players from previous U.P State U15, U19, Women & Senior Open Chess Championship as regular entry.
iii. Two players who could not participated in their District tournament, as may be nominated by the Hon. Gen.
Secretary of UPCSA following the recommendation of concerned District Secretary as regular entry.
