Elizabeth Rainwater
Director of Admission Marketing
TCU Admission Office
3301 Bellaire Drive North
Fort Worth, TX 76109

Dear Ms. Rainwater:

I am writing to express my interest in the Marketing position at TCU Admission Officer. After
carefully researching the job description, I am confident that my background and commitment will be
beneficial in assisting your progress. It would be a great pleasure if you accept this letter as well as my
resume and consider my application for the position.

In my freshman year, I had one year of experience working as a media content creator for the
Marketing Team at Vandy English Language Academy (VELA), an English online center. Throughout
2020 and 2021, the COVID-19 outbreak partly and seriously affected our team’s offline projects.
However, it was a great opportunity for my team to develop online channels. At that time, my biggest
question was how to create informative but trendy posts in order to allure both the parents and
students. Thus, I collaborated with the Design Team to incorporate infographics and contents to
ensure the viewers could relate and interact with the information.

In addition, I challenged myself on VELA’s Youtube channel, which had stopped operating for a year
before I joined the team. As a Youtube lover, I wanted to revamp the video concepts, so my
teammates and I planned for new ideas, submitted our proposal to the director, and finally got
approved to revive the Youtube channel. Since it was our new beginning, I wore many hats, including
actress, editor, and thumbnail designer. Although it was laborious to complete and release my first
brainchild, I thoroughly enjoyed the viewers’ reactions and comments, which gave me a driving force
to make more videos. Also, I learned how to listen and accept others' criticism. It is necessary for
boosting myself in a global working environment.

My experience at VELA has prepared me for a professional setting, grown my ideal job as a content
creator, and developed my well-rounded skill set, including writing, problem-solving, reporting, and
especially teamwork. Additionally, having opportunities to communicate with clients in the education
sector allowed me to grasp what a high school student seeks in a future university. If combined with
my enthusiasm for making videos, I would create messages that reach other international students
who desire to learn more about TCU. I would let them experience a wonderful life at TCU through
my every video.

I am very excited to apply my skills and what I have learned as a marketer at TCU Admission Officer.
I believe that it is a great chance for me to enhance my creativity and gain more knowledge in real
working experience. I would welcome the opportunity for an interview to discuss the position further.
If you have any questions, you can reach me by my phone at (682)-313-6324 or by email at
xuan.khanh.tu261@tcu.edu. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Xuan Khanh Tu
