Week 11 assignment-For Which We Stand

I've chosen the death penalty, gun control, and same-sex marriage.
First of all, I've chosen the death penalty as a liberal because I think
the death penalty is very inhumane and cruel. It's not only inhumane
but it doesn't also stop the crime. It's better to keep the criminals in
prison than to just execute them. Second of all, I pick gun control as
liberal because to keep people safe we need tight control over who
can own a gun. It would prevent the danger of gun violence and the
risk of life that is caused by gun violence. In the end, I selected
same-sex marriage as a liberal view, as I did with all the others. The
reason why I've chosen it as liberal is because marriage should be
allowed for everyone, no matter their gender or sexual orientation.
In this way, different kinds of love are respected and treated equally.
The death penalty, gun control, and same-sex marriage are all liberal
issues that I support. This means I care about kindness, safety, and
equal rights for everyone.
