SRIMAD BHAGAVATHAM 10.10.29-38

TEXT 29
कृष्ण कृष्ण महायोगिंस्त्वमाद्य: परु
ु ष: पर: ।

व्यक्ताव्यक्तमिदं विश्वं रूपं ते ब्राह्मणा विद:ु ||

॥ २९ ॥
kṛṣṇa kṛṣṇa mahā-yogiṁs tvam ādyaḥ puruṣaḥ paraḥ

vyaktāvyaktam idaṁ viśvaṁ rūpaṁ te brāhmaṇā viduḥ

க்ருஷ் ண க்ருஷ் ண மஹாலயாகிம்ஸ் த்வமாத்3ய: புருஷ:


பர: | வ்யக்தாவ்யக்தமித3ம் விஶ் வம் ரூபம் லத ப்3ராஹ்
மணா விது3: ||

కృష్ ణకృష్ ణమహాయోగింస్త వ్మాద్య: పురుష్: పర: |

వ్యా్వ్యకద్ ద్ిం విశ్వ ిం రూపిం తే బ్రా హ్మ ణా విదు: ||

Translation
O Lord Kṛṣṇa, Lord Kṛṣṇa, Your opulent mysticism is inconceivable. You are
the supreme, original person, the cause of all causes, immediate and remote, and
You are beyond this material creation. Learned brāhmaṇas know [on the basis of
the Vedic statement sarvaṁ khalv idaṁ brahma] that You are everything and
that this cosmic manifestation, in its gross and subtle aspects, is Your form.
Texts 30-31

त्वमेक: सर्वभत
ू ानां दे हास्वात्मेन्द्रियेश्वर: ।

त्वमेव कालो भगवान ् विष्णरु व्यय ईश्वर: ॥ ३० ॥


tvam ekaḥ sarva-bhūtānāṁ dehāsv-ātmendriyeśvaraḥ

tvam eva kālo bhagavān viṣṇur avyaya īśvaraḥ

த்வலமக: ஸர்வபூ4தாநாம் லத3ஹாஸ் வாத்லமந்த்3ரிலயஶ்


வர: |

த்வலமவ கால ா ப4க3வாந்விஷ் ணுரவ்யய ஈஶ் வர: || 30

త్వ మేక: స్త రవ భూతానిం దేహాస్వవతేమన్ద య


్ర ేి శ్వర: |

త్వ మేవ్ ాలో భగవాన్ విష్ణ ణరవ్యయ ఈశ్వ ర: || 30

त्वं महान ् प्रकृति: सक्ष्


ू मा रज:सत्त्वतमोमयी ।

त्वमेव परु
ु षोऽध्यक्ष: सर्वक्षेत्रविकारवित ् ॥ ३१ ॥
tvaṁ mahān prakṛtiḥ sūkṣmā rajaḥ-sattva-tamomayī

tvam eva puruṣo ’dhyakṣaḥ sarva-kṣetra-vikāra-vit

த்வம் மஹாந் ப்ரக்ருதி: ஸூக்ஷ் மா ரஜ: ஸத்த்வதலமாமயீ: |

த்வலமவ புருலஷாऽத்யக்ஷ: ஸர்வலக்ஷத்ரவிகாரவித் ||


త్వ ిం మహాన్ బ్రపకృతి: సూక్ష్మమ రజ: స్త త్వ్త్మోమయీ: |

త్వ మేవ్ పురుషో ఽధ్య క్ష: స్త రవ క్షేబ్రత్విారవిత్ ||

Translation
You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the controller of everything. The
body, life, ego and senses of every living entity are Your own self. You are the
Supreme Person, Viṣṇu, the imperishable controller. You are the time factor, the
immediate cause, and You are material nature, consisting of the three modes
passion, goodness and ignorance. You are the original cause of this material
manifestation. You are the Supersoul, and therefore You know everything within
the core of the heart of every living entity.

Text 32

गह्
ृ यमाणैस्त्वमग्राह्यो विकारै : प्राकृतैर्गुणै: ।
को न्विहार्हति विज्ञातंु प्राक् ‌
सिद्धं गण
ु संवत
ृ : ॥ ३२ ॥
gṛhyamāṇais tvam agrāhyo vikāraiḥ prākṛtair guṇaiḥ

ko nv ihārhati vijñātuṁ prāk siddhaṁ guṇa-saṁvṛtaḥ

க்3ருஹ் யமாணணஸ் த்வமக்3ராஹ் லயா விகாணர:


ப்ராக்ருணதர்கு3ணண: | லகா ந்விஹர்ஹதி விஜ்ஞாதும்
ப்ராகூஸித்3த4ம் குணஸம்வ்ருத: ||

గృహ్యమాణైస్తవ్మబ్రా హ్యయ విారై: బ్రా కృతైరు ుణై: |


కో రవహ్ర తిహ విజ్ఞ ాతిం బ్రా కూసిద్ింధ గుణస్తింవ్ృత్: || 3

Translation
O Lord, You exist before the creation. Therefore, who, trapped by a body of
material qualities in this material world, can understand You?

Text 33

तस्मै तभ्
ु यं भगवते वासद
ु े वाय वेधसे ।

आत्मद्योतगण
ु श्ै छन्नमहिम्ने ब्रह्मणे नम: ॥ ३३ ॥
tasmai tubhyaṁ bhagavate vāsudevāya vedhase

ātma-dyota-guṇaiś channa-mahimne brahmaṇe namaḥ

தஸ் ணம துப்4யம் ப4க3வலத வாஸுலத3வாய லவத4லஸ |


ஆத்மத்3லயாதகு3ணணஶ் சந்நமஹிம்லந ப்3ரஹ் மலணநம:
||

త్స్మమ తభయ ిం భగవ్తే వాసుదేవాయ వేధ్సే |

ఆత్మ ద్యయ త్గు ణైశ్ఛ న్న మహిమేన బ్రరహ్మ ణే న్మ: ||

Translation
O Lord, whose glories are covered by Your own energy, You are the Supreme
Personality of Godhead. You are Saṅkarṣaṇa, the origin of creation, and You are
Vāsudeva, the origin of the caturvyūha. Because You are everything and are
therefore the Supreme Brahman, we simply offer our respectful obeisances unto
You.

Texts 34-35

यस्यावतारा ज्ञायन्ते शरीरे ष्वशरीरिण: ।

तैस्तैरतल्
ु यातिशयैर्वीर्यैर्देहिष्वसङ्गतै: ॥ ३४ ॥
yasyāvatārā jñāyante śarīreṣv aśarīriṇaḥ

tais tair atulyātiśayair vīryair dehiṣv asaṅgataiḥ

யஸ் யாவதாரா ஜ்ஞாயந்லத ஶரீலரஷ் வஶரீரிண: |

ணதஸ் ணதரது ்யாதிஶணயர்வர்ணயர்லத3ஹிஷ்



வஸம்க3ணத: || 34

యస్వయ వ్తా రా జ్ఞ ాయత్శ్రీరేష్వ శ్రీరిణ: |

తైసత
్ర ్త ల్యయతిశ్యైరీవరైయరేహి ష్వస్తింగతై: ||

स भवान्सर्वलोकस्य भवाय विभवाय च ।

अवतीर्णोंऽशभागेन साम्प्रतं पतिराशिषाम ् ॥ ३५ ॥


sa bhavān sarva-lokasya bhavāya vibhavāya ca
avatīrṇo ’ṁśa-bhāgen sāmprataṁ patir āśiṣām

ஸ ப4வாந்ஸர்வல ாகஸ் ய ப4வாய விப4வாய ச |

அவதிர்நோம்ஷபாகேன ஸாம்ப்ரதம் பதிராஶிஷாம் ||

స్త భవాన్ స్త రవ లోకస్త య భవాయ విభవాయ చ |


అవ్తీ ర్ింణ ఽశ్భాగేన్ స్వబ్రమర త్ిం పతిరాశిషామ్ ||

Translation

Appearing in bodies like those of an ordinary fish, tortoise and hog, You exhibit
activities impossible for such creatures to perform — extraordinary,
incomparable, transcendental activities of unlimited power and strength. These
bodies of Yours, therefore, are not made of material elements, but are
incarnations of Your Supreme Personality. You are the same Supreme
Personality of Godhead, who have now appeared, with full potency, for the
benefit of all living entities within this material world.

Text 36

नम: परमकल्याण नम: परममङ्गल ।


वासद
ु े वाय शान्ताय यदन
ू ां पतये नम: ॥ ३६ ॥
namaḥ parama-kalyāṇa namaḥ parama-maṅgala
vāsudevāya śāntāya yadūnāṁ pataye namaḥ

நம: பரமக ்யாண நம: பரமமங்கள |


வாஸுலத3வாய ஶாந்தாய யதூ3நாம் பதலய நம: ||
న్మ: పరమకల్యయ ణ న్మ: పరమమ ్గల |
వాసుదేవాయ శాన్య యదూనిం పత్యే న్మ: ||

Translation
O supremely auspicious, we offer our respectful obeisances unto You, who are
the supreme good. O most famous descendant and controller of the Yadu
dynasty, O son of Vasudeva, O most peaceful, let us offer our obeisances unto
Your lotus feet.

Text 37
अनज
ु ानीहि नौ भम
ू स्
ं तवानच
ु रकिङ्करौ ।
दर्शनं नौ भगवत ऋषेरासीदनग्र
ु हात ् ॥ ३७ ॥
anujānīhi nau bhūmaṁs tavānucara-kiṅkarau

darśanaṁ nau bhagavata ṛṣer āsīd anugrahāt

அநுஜநீ ஹிநநௌ பூ4மம்ஸ் தவாநுசரகிங்கநரௌ |

த3ர்ஶநம் நநௌ ப4க3வத ருலஷராஸீத3நுக்3ரஹாத் ||

అనుజ్ఞ నీహి నౌ భూమింస్త వా్ నుచరకిఙ్కరౌ |

ద్రశ న్ిం నౌ భగవ్త్ ౠషేరాసీద్నుబ్రగహాత్ ||

Translation
O supreme form, we are always servants of Your servants, especially of Nārada
Muni. Now give us permission to leave for our home. It is by the grace and
mercy of Nārada Muni that we have been able to see You face to face.
Text 38

वाणी गण
ु ानक
ु थने श्रवणौ कथायां

हस्तौ च कर्मसु मनस्तव पादयोर्न: ।

स्मत्ृ यां शिरस्तव निवासजगत्प्रणामे

द‍ृष्टि: सतां दर्शनेऽस्तु भवत्तनन


ू ाम ् ॥ ३८ ॥
vāṇī guṇānukathane śravaṇau kathāyāṁ

hastau ca karmasu manas tava pādayor naḥ

smṛtyāṁ śiras tava nivāsa-jagat-praṇāme

dṛṣṭiḥ satāṁ darśane ’stu bhavat-tanūnām

வாண ீகு3ணாநுகத2லந ஶ் ரவநணௌ கதா2யாம்

ஹஸ் நதௌ ச கர்மஸு மநஸ் தவ பாத3லயார்ந: |

ஸ்ம்ருத்யாம் ஶிரஸ் தவ நிவாஸஜக3த்ப்ரணாம

த்3ருஷ் டி: ஸதாம் த3ர்ஶலநஸ் து ப4வத்தநூநாம் ||


వాణీ గుణానుకథత బ్రశ్వ్ణౌ కథాయిం హ్స్త్చ కరమ సు మన్స్తవ్్ ాద్యోరన: | స్త మ ృతాయ
ిం శిరస్త వ్్ రవాస్త జగబ్రత్ర ణామే ద్ృష్ట :ి స్త తాిం ద్రశతఽసు్భవ్త్నూ్ నమ్ ||

Translation
Henceforward, may all our words describe Your pastimes, may our ears engage
in aural reception of Your glories, may our hands, legs and other senses engage
in actions pleasing to You, and may our minds always think of Your lotus feet.
May our heads offer our obeisances to everything within this world, because all
things are also Your different forms, and may our eyes see the forms of
Vaiṣṇavas, who are nondifferent from You.
