Quarter 1 project

 On an A4 cardboard as a base for your model, you must


create A 3-D model for the ionic bonding between 2
elements (metal and non-metal), show a 3D model for the
bonding between the valence electrons of the 2 elements
and show the transfer of the electrons from one element to
the other using arrows.
 The ionic compound will be assigned to you by your
teacher.
 You are required to LABEL everything you do in the 3D
model (elements, electrons, etc).
 You are required to peer review one of your colleagues model and write
two points of strength and two point of improvements.

 You may want to use:

- Clay, Styrofoam, beads, yarn, twine, dry noodles, dry beans,

pipe cleaners, buttons, rubber bands, toothpicks,


construction paper, cardboard.

- Be unique and creative! Use a variety of appropriate

materials.

- Neatness, accuracy, and creativity are important for

your grade.

- The project is an individual work. NO GROUPS.
