twice a week and play football in the girl's school team. I like to ride a bike in summer and skate and
ski in winter. My friends say I'm a very energetic person. But I also like to read a good book in the
evening. I adore historical novels. I like to read about brave knights, kings, and queens.
I have a sister. Her name is Alice. She is 12. She goes to school too and she likes Maths. Art and
Music. She's a very quiet girl. Alice doesn't like sports, but she likes to do handicrafts, knit, and draw.
Her pictures are very beautiful, she's a real artist' She likes to cook too. I love her J chocolate cake'
Alice is very kind and helpful. She always helps me with my homework. We are very different, as you
see, but we love each other very much.

They are going to celebrate the lebaran day in their hometown in East Java. Mr.Darmo, a

town where his parents and relatives live.
The station is busy with the passengers. Most of them are people who want to celebrate the

closed because it is the fasting month of the year. No one is having meals, but some small

Black Beauty
Farmer Gray was the kindest master in the world. He was proud of me, and called me Black
Beauty. I had a white spot on my forehead and one white foot. He trained me to pull a
carriage. Then I learned to wear a saddle and carry a rider on my back.
One day, Farmer Gray said. "A good horse like you do not live on a farm. So you will be
going to live with Squire Gordon and his family. "I was very sad to leave my mother and my
home,"
However, when I saw my masters I knew I would be happy with them. They lived in a big
mansion and welcomed me warmly. Mrs.Gordon was pale and ill, but she smiled when she
saw me.
The groom who looked after the stables was John Manly. He loved horses. He introduced me
to Merrylegs, the children's pony, Ginger, and the old mare. She was not a bad horse but had
been ill-treated in the past.
