2.2 SOURCE OF DATA COLLECTION

We used different sources which were taken into account in the primary and the
secondary sources.

2.2.1 Primary Sources:

2.2.1.1 Techniques and Instruments

Specify the technique and instruments used to develop your work

Techniques → Instruments

Documental analysis Summary, bibliography or textual quotation cards

Interview (specify the type) interview guide or Questionnaire

(Interview types: Structured, semi-structured and unstructured)

Survey Questionnaire

Then explain why you applied it.

Finally, specify how many questions the interview or survey has; and the objective
of each instrument.

2.2.1.2. Sampling

Specify the number of informers and, in case of the interview, identify the person or
people (write their names), and explain why you interviewed these people.
If you are applying documental analysis omit this point.

3.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT FROM THE GEOGRAPHIC


POINT OF VIEW

Geographical description includes: location, physical features (climates, landforms, and natural
vegetation), and human beings (their attributes, and their works-such as, agriculture, transportation
systems).

3.2 DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT FROM THE HISTORICAL


AND CULTURAL POINT OF VIEW

History includes origin and evolution.

Cultural description contains these components:

Religion | Language | Architecture | Cuisine | Technology | Music


Dance | Sports | Medicine | Dress | Gender roles | Law
Education | Government | Agriculture | Economy | Sport | Grooming
Values | Work ethic | Etiquette | Courtship | Recreation | Gestures

It is not necessary to develop all of them.

3.3 DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT FROM THE SOCIAL AND


ECONOMIC POINT OF VIEW

Social context refers to the immediate physical and social setting in


which people live or in which something happens or develops. It includes people
and institutions. Their components are: build infrastructure, industrial and
occupational structure, labor markets, health services, power relations,
government, race relations, social status.

Economic aspect refers to production, distribution, and consumption of


goods and services.
