Thank you for your interest in working as Product Associate for Ruangguru and your
willingness to make a real contribution to Indonesia's education system! In order for us
to understand your technical abilities better and how you can complement our team, we
ask that you complete the following exercises.

We totally understand that you have a choice in employers and your time is valuable, so
we designed the test to evaluate your abilities quicker as well as give you the
opportunity to demonstrate and explore the skills you have already developed and
honed.

About the Challenge

As part of the recruitment process, you are asked to submit a written presentation (can be either in docs or ppt
format) as a response to the challenge. This challenge includes a case study of a fictional product (not part of
Ruangguru application/products).

This challenge is designed to assess your suitability for the Product Associate in the K-12 segment, which
measure your skills across 5 criteria:
1. Ability to hypothesize in a structured manner and self-direct towards solution(s),
2. Level of user-centricity
3. Ability to demonstrate both strategic and tactical/operational thinking
4. Ability to communicate thinking clearly
5. Perspective on Design

The Challenge

Ruangvideo is a brand-new startup which aims to bring quality entertainment content for kids and adolescents
age 7 to 15 years old (primary school and junior high school students) in Indonesia. ruangvideo hopes to revive
the good-old-days of watching quality cartoons and TV programs every Sunday morning that the 1990s kids
enjoyed and bring it to the younger generation of kids; therefore, minimizing the adverse impact of low-quality,
lack of educational values contents that are pervasive in the other streaming platforms.

The CEO of the new startup decided to hire you as one of the earliest product people and tasked you to propose
ideas/design the ruangvideo app where kids and adolescents can stream entertainment videos. The CEO
reminded you to make sure that your product proposal must have a strong & visible value proposition to users,
so that this app is worth using vis-à-vis other competitors.

Deliverables

You have 3 days to submit this application idea.

Deliverables will be:
- Simple Product Requirement slide (explaining who the users are, what the feature sets would be, how this
app/the feature sets can solve real user’s problem, what metrics to measure the success rate of product)
- Plus point if you can provide supporting data about user’s needs or pain points
- A low-fidelity static mockup/wireframe of the application (including the flow of each page). No need to be
high-fidelity mockup
- Your thinking and visibility of this design project with the current technology
