GUIDELINE REGARDING OPENING OF CAMPUS FOR STUDENTS POST


COVID-19
w.e.f. 14th February, 2022.

Upon Arrival:

1. Upon arrival in the campus students should produce their double dose of vaccination
certificate at the main gate.
2. Students must produce Covid negative RTPCR issued within 72 hours of coming to
the campus.
3. Students must submit a consent certificate to stay in hostel from their
parents/guardians at main gate at the time of entry.
4. Students will be subjected to get Rapid Antigen Test upon entry and at any other reasonable
point of time while residing in the campus.
5. Students must download “AarogyaSetu App” and register therein.
6. No one from outside will be allowed to meet students in hostel area.
7. If any student suffers from Covid-19, (s)he will be transferred to authorised Covid
treatment centre. The entire cost will be borne by the student. Parents/Guardians will
be responsible for the isolation.
8. Any updated guidelines by the government or its agency should be adhered to.

After Arrival

1. Students must co-operate with any sanitization measures undertaken by the university
at any point of time.
2. Disposal of sanitary waste must be made in earmarked dustbins only. (Masks, PPE Kits,
Face shields, etc. waste generated due to Covid 19).
3. Washroom hygiene must be maintained by all students at all times.
4. Any sickness must be immediately reported to the caretaker/warden/chief warden.
5. Social distancing to be observed at all times.
6. Overcrowding at any place is not allowed. Students must organize themselves in queues
at all necessary places.
7. Those having symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty in breathing shall not be allowed
to enter.

8. Spitting, chewing tobacco, etc. in the campus is a punishable offence.
9. Usage of dustbins earmarked for disposal of used facemasks, personal protective
equipment, hand gloves and their disposals should be ensured as per safety norms.
10. Sharing of food items, soaps, masks, water, etc. is prohibited in the campus.
11. Density in dining halls, common rooms, playing areas shall be limited, keeping in view
the requirement of physical distancing.
12. Cleanliness is to be maintained in dining areas. Meals shall be served in small batches,
avoiding over-crowding.
13. Mess usage rules shall be notified by the Mess Committee from time to time.
14. Fines starting from Rs. 500/- shall be levied upon students violating the above code of
conduct or the UGC guidelines or Standard Operating Procedures imposed by the state
or Central governments at any given point of time. The authority to levy fines shall be
Chief Proctor and Chief Warden.
15. University gates shall be closed between 8 pm to 6 am. Hostel gates shall be closed
between 10 pm to 5 am.
16. The University Administration reserves the right to amend this code from time to time
without prior intimation.
17. Accounts section, Examination Section and Students’ Cell shall be accessed through
their designated windows only.
Documents to be produced by the students upon their arrival to the campus
The following documents are to be produced at the main gate by the students upon their
arrival to the University campus:
1. Double dose vaccination certificate
2. RTPCR Covid negative report
3. Consent form signed by parents/guardians which is provided as Annexure-I to these
guidelines.

Essential equipment to be carried for safe and secure stay at Hostel


The students are advised to carry the following things to hostel:
1. Hand sanitizer
2. Sufficient quantity of 3 layered masks
3. Sufficient number of gloves.
4. Pulse Oximeter
5. Oral Thermometer
6. Vaporizer
7. Toiletries

Annexure-I
Undertaking for parents/guardians
I, Mr./Ms._____________________________________ mother/father/guardians of Mr./Ms. -
___________________________________ do hereby undertake and confirm that I am
willingly allowing him/her to travel to the NUSRL, Ranchi campus. I declare that in any
unfortunate situation, if he/she gets affected with Covid-19 infection, while returning to the
campus or during his/her stay in the campus, the Institute will not be held responsible for it.
Furthermore, I also undertake to bear all the medical expenses in case of infection of my child.
I am willingly taking the risk of sending my child to the NUSRL, Ranchi campus.
