Loading Characteristics – Synchronizing and Loading

Reformated, September 1991

I. GENERAL

The gas turbine is ready to accept load when operating speed, L14HS, has been reached and complete se-
quence logic, L3, has been satisfied. CRT message will be COMPLETE SEQUENCE.

The gas turbine can be manually loaded from the SPEEDTRONIC panel with the speed control RAISE push-
button, or automatically loaded with a remote 4 to 20 milliamp process signal. The manual and/or automatic
load rate is set by PROM constant TNKR1_4, which is listed in the Control Specifications—Settings draw-
ing included in Volume I.

II. MINIMUM OPERATING SPEED

Operating speed logic L14HS is set to pick up at a slightly higher speed than the HP low speed stop to insure
that the starting turbine does not shut down until the gas turbine is on speed control. Refer to constants
TNK14HS1 and TNKR4 listed in the Control Specifications—Settings drawing in Volume I.

These instructions do not purport to cover all details or variations in equipment nor to provide for every possible
