Environmental pollution- Környezetszennyezés

Pollution has become the most serious issue as everyone is facing lots of health hazards in
their daily life. Various types of pollutants from the industrial garbage and other activities are
contaminating our natural resources like air, water, soil, etc. After being mixing into the soil,
air and water, they are directly affecting the human being and animal body system and
causing variety of lethal ailments to health. Noise pollution is affecting the listening system in
the body as well as causing disturbance to the memory.
The rate of pollution in the cities is higher than the villages because of the vehicles
transportation. Fumes arise from the running vehicles, factories and other industries are
affecting the clean air of cities which is not fit for the breathing. Soiled water from the big
sewage system, other garbage from the households, by-products from the factories and
industries are directly mixing to the rivers, lake and oceans. Most of the solid wastes, garbage
and other unused things are thrown away by the people on the land which cause soil pollution
and affect the crop production. Most of the people in the cities spread noise pollution to a
great extent during their birthday, marriage or other occasions just for their short time
happiness. All the roads in the cities become full of traffic all through the day because of the
increasing number of vehicles which are the reason of both air pollution and noise pollution.
Ultimately all the man made technological advancement is the big reason of all types of
pollution on the earth. So, no one other than human, who is digging a pit of pollution
worldwide and creating a serious problem for the living things on the earth. The quality of life
is worsening day by day as pollution acts as a devil which causes various health ailments like
high blood pressure, kidney disorders, respiratory disease, cancer, epidemics, skin diseases,
etc.

My favorite book that I read was How to Steal a Dog. How to Steal a Dog was an exciting
story about a girl, Georgina, whose her mother and little brother, are evicted from their
apartment. They have been living in their car---and Georgina is so embarrassed about the
situation. This book is full of realty, suspense, and action from the daring character, Georgina.
How to Steal a Dog definitely kept me turning pages!

The first reason I liked this story is because it was like real life for many people living in
America; single mothers trying to make a living and keeping her children in school, husbands
deserting the family shortly after the mother has their 2nd child, poor families evicted from
homes and apartments because they can no longer afford it…I sure many, many American
families could relate to that. After reading this story, it made me realize the harsh reality of
this world and how lucky kids who do have a family and have food on the table at least once a
day, and a house, no matter how small, should not take simple things for granted.

Another reason I enjoyed this book was because it was full of suspense. Barbara O’ Connor
must have loved writing thrilling books because she sure got me to the edge of my sit! (Page
69) Because of this, I finished this book in a matter of hours. Georgina thinking of all the
crazy ideas of how to steal a dog and then going great measures to keep her thief a secret…
my o my!

Finally, I enjoyed this story because it was full of action. Georgina wants to help her mother
and brother get enough money so they can stop living in a car and get a real home. She makes
a great plan and follows it step by step but soon realizes that things don’t turn out the way
they are planed. There were also many twists and turns.
Overall, How to Steal a Dog was a great book, one of the best I’ve read this year. Thanks for
listening!

Leisure time/free time

Leisure time may not come very frequently for students and should therefore be used wisely.
Students should value this time as taking time out from their set routine of studying is of vital
importance.Leisure time can be used for reflection, relaxation and setting goals into
perspective.A good start would be to create a list of activities they would like to
accomplish. They can then schedule these activities. These activities should bebeneficial to the
body and mind.

Staying healthy and activeis vital for a well balanced life.A good diet with nutritional meals is
important for students who want to stay healthy. Being active can lead to one having
increased energy and can be relaxing as well! This does not need to include a rigirous exercise
routine but can include a walk to the park to get some fresh air.Cleaning out personal
belongings by tidyingup and organising is also a form of staying fit and can lead to a great
sense of accomplishment when completed.

Students can stimulate their minds by meditating or learning new skills. This time can be used
to try something they have wanted to do for ages but never had time for. There is perhaps even
a book they have wanted to read. This can be relaxing and build up ones vocabulary at the
same time! They could find their creative side by starting a hobby which can reduce stress and
keep their minds active and creative. They can also use their time to reflect on their studies by
looking at what they have learnt and what they may need to place more focus on. Ensuring
they are up to date with everything will give them peace of mind.

Reviewing of the list of activitiesplanned is important as students will be able to see what they
have accomplished during their leisure time. Crossing off activities will motivate students as
they will see the goals they have reached and lead to them set new milestones. Time needs to
be made to clear theirminds and gain perspective of the path they are following in life. This is
crucial for self developmentand fulfillment of personal and developmental goals. Students
need to focus onspending their leisure time on activities that are beneficial, worthwhile and
will lead them to feeling empowered with a sense of accomplishment.

Education is very important tool for the people all over the world to make balance of life and
its existence on the earth. It is the tool which stimulates everyone to go ahead and succeed in
life as well as provides ability to overcome challenges in life. It is the one and only way to
acquire knowledge and improve our skills in any particular field according to the need. It
makes us able to create fine balance of our body, mind and spirit.
It trains us whole life and brings lots of opportunities to our way to get better prospects
required for the career growth. Each and every individual need proper education to enhance
their own life standards as well as become a part of the social and economic growth of their
own country. Future of the any person or country depends on the education system strategy
followed. Even after lots of awareness programmes about proper education in our country,
there are many villages still left which are not having proper resources and awareness for
education of people living there.
Though condition has improved than earlier and various steps have been taken by the
government to improve the education status in the country. Well being of the society depends
on the well being of the people living in that society. It brings economic and social prosperity
all through the country by solving issues and identifying problems.

Friendship is one of the most precious gifts of life. A person who has true friends in life is
lucky enough Friendship makes life thrilling. It makes life sweet and pleasant experience.
Friendship is indeed, an asset in life. It can lead us to success or to doom. It all depends on
how we choose our friends.

True friendship is a feeling of love, sharing and caring. It is a feeling that someone
understands and appreciates you as you are, without any exaggeration, flattery and
pretensions It gives a feeling that you are ‘wanted’ and that you are ‘someone’ and not a
faceless being in the crowd. A true friend stands by you through thick and thin. True
friendship knows no boundaries or demarcations of caste, creed, race and sex.

Friendship is both good and necessary. Man cannot live all alone. He is a social being. He
needs someone to share his joys and sorrows. Generally, it is only the people of the same age,
character and background, mentality, etc., who can understand him and understand his
problems. Friends are needed for support and for sharing. Friendship is an elixir which is
essential for a happy life.

They are needed to turn to when one is in trouble, and facing difficulties. According to the
great Roman Statesman Cicero “Friendship increases happiness and diminishes misery by
doubling our joy and dividing our grief”. Friends are needed in every stage of life. Friendship
has no age limit. Every group of people- children, youth, elders, very elderly people, etc. have
their friends. However, it is better to have friends of the same age group and cultural
backgrounds.

We need to select our friends very carefully. We have to remember the maxim “All that
glitters is not gold”. In the same manner, we must not be moved by apparent show of
friendship. Many remain with us in the guise of good friends and lead us to the wrong path.
Today, many youngsters have become social nuisance mainly due to wrong company and bad
friends.

We spent much of our time with them. Their mental outlook, behaviour, attitudes affect us
too. Therefore, we have to choose our friends very carefully. We have to distinguish between
fair-weather friends and true friends. True friends remain with us through thick and thin while
fair-weather friends are found only during sunny days.

Lasting friendship is indeed, a blessing. Good friends are great pillars of life. They help us to
stand tall and erect in life. Friendship can make or break us. It can lead to good careers and
proper living. It does not matter how often you meet your friends, but how much you care and
feel for another in good times as well as in bad times. True friendship is a great luck in life.

Healthy lifestyle/Healthy eating Egészséges életmód, egészséges étkezés

A healthy lifestyle means maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet as well as engaging in
sports or other fitness related activities. A healthy diet alone however is inadequate to ensure
a healthy body as physical activity helps to keep one in shape and free of sickness and
disease.

According to the World Health Organization, only one in ten people exercise regularly and a
majority do not follow a healthy diet. The main culprit is our penchant for junk food as can be
seen from the popularity of fast food chains and other western eateries. even local foods such
as fried noodles, friend rice and snacks and savories are laden with fat and calories. Thus,
consuming this type of food on a daily basis can contribute to weight gain. Overweight and
obese people suffer from many health complications such as diabetes, high blood pressure,
high cholesterol and even cancer.

Hence, the emphasis on healthy lifestyle should start at a young age. Parents must urge their
children to eat more vegetables, fruits, juices, wholemeal and wholegrain foods. Many
parents, due to time constraint, usually find the easy way out by cooking two-minute noodles
or heading towards the nearest fast food joint for quick meal. They do not realize however
that sets the stage for an unhealthy lfestyle for their children who quickly become addicted to
such foods. Thus, parents can counter this problem by cooking or preparing meals that do not
take up time such as cheese sandwiches, soup, stir friend vegetables or buy pre-packed meals
from supermarkets which can be warmed up in the microwave oven.

Dining out usually involves eating heavily and unhealthily. Most of us are prone to ordering
deep fried food and oily dishes as opposed to steamed or baked food. Thus, though eating out
is unavoidable, parents of children and adults as a hole should order fresh food and foods that
are nutritious and not laden with oil, fat or sugar. Once a pattern of healthy eating is
established, it would be easier to carry through such a lifestyle and for the children to follow
suit.

School canteens must be urged to sell only highly nutritious food and drinks. Vending
machines that sell soft drinks and drinks that are spiked with sugar should be banned. Hence,
school going children would be exposed to healthy eating form young.

Daily exercise is vital. In fact, schools should implement Physical education on a daily basis
rather than twice weekly. Only the minority are actively involved in sports. Most students are
sedentary and prefer to concentrate on their studies as they consider indulging in physical
activities a waste of time. By enforcing regular exercise daily, these students would be
exposed to the importance and benefits of exercise.

Many parents and adults do not allocate time for physical activity. A large number of them
work long hours and return home late thereby depriving themselves of the benefits of
exercise. Parents must lead an exemplary life which can benefit their children by increasing
awareness on the health benefits of exercising regularly. Bringing their children for walks in
the morning or evening is a good start to achieve this goal. They should become members of
clubs which have swimming pools and gym facilities. During the weekend, the family can
strengthen their bond by adjourning to clubs for exercise and a healthy meal after that.

In short, leading a healthy lifestyle is a conscious decision. One can ignore that and lead a life
that exposes one to many healthy hazards. it is important to recognize that a healthy living
ensures a longer life span as well as a life free of disease and complications.
1. Halloween is my favorite holiday because of the many
fantasy aspects that surround it, the fun events that can be
carried out, and the joy on children's faces as they trick or
treat. Halloween offers a day of escape, fantasy and elation.
Even as an adult, I love the idea of dressing up and becoming
someone else, if just for one night. The idea of fantasy, where
anything goes, is what sparks my interest,. Being able to
create a character that is not only believeable, but one that I
embody, brings me a sense of accomplishment, as I go
through the process. I also have great memories from my
childhood, of my mother helping me to decide which
character I was to be. I now take that one step further, and
look for characters that I know I can fit into. Whether I buy
my costume, or come up with it on my own, does not really
matter, it is the character and how you embody it, on that
night, that becomes special.
Once you are all dressed up, it is where you go, that really
gets fun. Whether it is a party, haunted house, or out
sightseeing the coolest decorated houses on the block, there
is fun to be had, while in costume. Some take their decorating
to a new level, making it realistic and scary, presenting the
viewing public with awe inspiring creativity. In itself, it is an
event, something to remember. Haunted houses abound,
trying to out do one another in scaring the viewers better than
the last one. With the advent of special effects, they get
extremely realistic in their approach, and for someone who
likes a thrill, this is the best thing out there. And then there
are the parties, and costume contests, that make working on
your costume really hard, something to remember.
Depending on where a party is held, often times, there will be
costume contests, and winning one gives you bragging rights
for the year. Even if there is no prize offered, just to be able
to say that you were the most creative, is a prize in itself.
Then there is the food and drinks, that for some inventive
people, are both spooky and fun to eat. Seeing how creative a
host can be, while offering a myriad of eerie looking foods, is
a lot of fun. I also love the decorations that some party host
(esses) are able to come up with. Looking around to see a
normal home, turned upside down with spider webs, witches
hats, skeletons in unexpected places, makes walking around
the party, that much more fun. You never know when
someone is going to jump out at you, and make you drop
your drink or your plate, because you were not expecting it.
However, the most fun that I have, is in watching the faces of
the children I know, as they trick or treat. Seeing the
excitement, as each door is opened, and a person brings out a
treat of candy for them, is so much fun. Watching a child get
dressed up to head out, as they realize that they are going to
get candy and see some really cool homes, can bring the
simplest of joys. This holiday, really, is for them. Having
them switch their mind three, four and five times, on what
costume they want to wear; hearing them talk about all the
candy they are going to get, and how cool that house on the
block was last year, what they think they might see this year,
brings a lightness to the heart. Knowing that the exhaustion at
the end of the night, was in creating a special memory for
them, makes it all worth it.
It is for these reasons, that I find Halloween is my favorite
holiday. There is so much to be said for a day that can bring
fantasy to life, offer fun and companionship through events,
and bring children a happiness for something so simple,
candy, that makes it fun and exhilerating. Halloween, will
always be my favorite holiday, for the joy it brings.
