Mullewa

The district of Mullewa is located 98 kms. East-northeast of Geraldton. It amalgamated with the City
of Geraldton-Greenough on 1 July 2011 to become part of the City of Greater Geraldton.

The total area of agricultural is 880,000 hectares with 193,600


hectares used for cropping and 33,600 for pasture. An annual
harvest of wheat, oats, barley, lupins, canola and chickpeas yields
in excess of 250,000 tonnes of grain, impressively produced on an
average annual rainfall of only 334mm.

Close to Mullewa are the old town sites of Tenindewa, Pindar,


and Tardun, none of these centres has a significant population.
Other localities in the district include Devils Creek, Wongoondy,
Ardingly, Mendel, Beatty, Sullivan, Indarra, Casuarinas, Kockatea

Facilities

Mullewa has access to a General Practice, Hospital A&E, Police Station. Other establishments include
the Recreation centre, Community Resource centre, Public and Private schools and places of worship.
In 2021, there are total of 66 students from Pre-school to Secondary.

According to REIWA, median house prices is $95,000. Council rates $1,120.00 per annum.
Water rates $275.72 per annum.

Water supplies and waste water

The Water Corporation imports water into the town. The town relies on septic systems, but liquid
effluent from some sites is piped to an effluent pond that is downslope of the townsite, to the north-
