    A Robber

    A man went into a London chemist and handed the assistant a note. It read: “ I’ve
    got a gun and I'll shoot if you don‘t give me money.”
    The girl behind the counter refused to read the note because she thought it was
    obscene, so he went into the other shop. It was a green-grocers. The Asian
    assistant handed the note back because he couldn't read English. Then the man
    went into the huberdasher's where the salesman said he was sorry that he didn't
    have his glasses, so he couldn't read the note.
    The man who was only pretending that he had a gun was arrested when he stood
    thinking where to go next. He was put in prison for two years.
