EGG AND LEMON SANDWICH (OPEN SANDWICH)

Ingredients:

4 eggs
4 slices of bread
Butter
Salt and pepper
4 Slices of lemon
Cheese

Yield:
4 servings

Procedures:

Prepare the Eggs:


● Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and beat them with
a fork or whisk until well combined.
Cook the Eggs:
● Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter
or oil.
● Pour the beaten eggs into the pan. Let them cook without stirring for a few
moments until the edges start to set.
Fold and Cook:
● Using a spatula, gently lift the edges of the eggs, tilting the pan to let any
uncooked egg flow underneath.
● Once the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny on top, fold them in half with
the spatula. Cook for another minute or until the eggs are fully cooked through.
Prepare the Bread:
● While the eggs are cooking, toast the slices of bread to your preference.
Assemble the Sandwich:
● Place the folded eggs onto one slice of the toasted bread.
● Add any slice of lemon at the side, and add shredded cheese on top.
Complete the Sandwich:
● Place the second slice of toasted bread on top of the eggs and toppings, creating
a sandwich.
Serve and Enjoy:
● Cut the sandwich diagonally for a classic presentation, and serve hot.
