MY CITY- NOIDA

Noida, a city that has recently gained attention because of the demolition of twin towers,
the high air quality index, and the never-ending crime stories, is a city in Uttar Pradesh. It is
a part of the NCR (National Capital Region). Like every city, Noida has its own set of
advantages and disadvantages that either help the user or work against them.
Noida is certainly a modernised city with basic needs and requirements available easily. It is
a well-planned city that has sector-divisions making it convenient for the people who reside
there. It is progressing and developing due to the ongoing constructions and new projects
that are in the works. Due to its connection to the Delhi metro and buses, along with the
DND (Delhi-Noida Direct Flyway) flyover; Noida is easily accessible and has well maintained
and well-connected roads.
Apartments and pg’s are easily available at reasonable rates, especially as compared to
Delhi. The crowd in Noida is usually well-educated which creates a comfortable
environment around.
Entertainment facilities are available- having one of the largest malls DLF mall of India, a
well-maintained Bird sanctuary in Okhla, Worlds of Wonders amusement and water park,
markets and much more.
The biggest issue one comes across in Noida is the rise in crime rates. Never ending horror
crime stories are heard of in the news whether it be of murder, rape, or theft.
Another issue we deal with on a daily basis is Noida's awful water quality, which results in
hard and saline water. Regular power outages are another issue that need to be resolved.
Poor drainage systems lead the roads to fill with water and make travel challenging,
especially during the monsoon. Pollution, especially after the festivities of Diwali, create a
ruckus and the AQI increases severely making it harmful to live and breathe in Noida.
Despite plenty of entertainment facilities present in Noida, younger generations choose
Delhi over Noida since the amenities there are considerably better.
