THE PROBLEM
The main study area is " EOTL Learning Styles: Effectiveness Of Teaching-Learning

Style Among Grade-12 Home Economics Senior High School In Olivarez College

Tagaytay” and the objective of the study was: (1) to know the effectiveness of spoon

feeding and modulated voices teaching styles., (2) to know the effectiveness of visual

and aural learning style, and (3) to know the most effective teaching and learning style.

The project is to pilot an online assessment system, which will serve the SHS

Department of Olivarez College Tagaytay, as a reference to improve learning styles

among SHS students.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

The research methodology used is quantitative methodology and research

design techniques are descriptive design necessary tool for illuminating how the EOTL

Learning Styles and are simulated at virtual environments. The researchers used

Nonprobability Sampling method thru Stratified Sampling which relies upon

convenience and access. The respondents were SHS students, they were approached

asked to test the EOTL Learning Styles, then, given questionnaire used in the data-

gathering technique. Data were treated using Percentage and Frequency Distribution,

Standard Deviation, Ranking, Weighted Mean and ANOVA

FINDINGS

The salient findings of the study are as follows: with regards to the summary of

all standard deviation of each statement in the questionnaire shows responses of the

respondents on the perception with regards to the functionalities of the proposed EOTL

Learning Styles. The responses of all respondents show that the range of standard

deviation across all statements was close to each other with the range of 1.53 and 1.32.

This indicates minimal variation in the responses of the respondents with regards to the

functionality of the EOTL Learning Styles.

CONCLUSIONS
With the responses that the researchers got from this research it is very clear

that the respondents are willing to use the aural learning style. However, the

researchers also realized that they can only reach so much of the population given the

available resource at hand. The EOTL Learning Styles is an effective motivational

resource in engaging students to improve the students learning style.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Based on the results of this study, the following are the researcher’s recommendations:

 The evaluation findings were encouraging in that the scores reported by

the respondents were very high. All the areas on the survey had a

weighted mean measurement of 2 and low standard deviations. This

shows two possibilities, the spoon feeding, and aural learning styles was

effective when it comes to adapting lessons and fit to use by the SHS

Faculty and Students of Olivarez College Tagaytay. Class Interest in

Participation, Teacher uses Examples, a lesson well-explained, real-life

situation class presentation, class is active in activities, summary of the

lesson given before exam, teacher speaks in moderate voice, adapting

lesson using instructional material, teacher’s well-modulated voice, and

repetition of explanation.

 The EOTL Learning Styles was agreeable for the following terms Class

Interest in Participation, Teacher uses Examples, a lesson well-explained,

real-life situation class presentation, class is active in activities, summary

of the lesson given before exam, teacher speaks in moderate voice,

adapting lesson using instructional material, teacher’s well-modulated

voice, and repetition of explanation. This simply means that the teaching

and learning style is effective when use in adapting the lesson. The

researchers recommend further study about other kinds of learning and

teaching style.

 The EOTL Learning Style recommended to be implemented in SHS

Department of Olivarez College Tagaytay. Furthermore, the respondents

are encouraged to know and improve their learning style and teachers

recommends know best teaching style that they can be used to improve

the skills and mind of every students.

 The researchers conduct this study based on the observation in teacher

evaluation. Upon evaluation teacher, researchers see what the students

was wanting to see in teachers while teaching and how the

student adjust to the teaching style that the teacher use in the class.

Researchers recommend to develops the relationship of teacher and

students during discussion so that they will no further excuses by the

students.

 The researchers also recommend please take time to approach the

concerned of the students regarding to the lesson that the student didn’t

understand during the discussion and researchers recommend to the

students to know own ability so that it will not hard to adapt the lesson and

always take time to understand and listen to the topic being discuss.
