Abstract

Learning Styles refers to the unique ways an individual

processes and retains new information and skills. In this

study, we aimed to identify the Learning Styles and General

Mathematics Performance of Grade 11 learners of Passi

National High School in a Blended Learning Environment. The

study employed the Descriptive- Correlational Research

Design to a total of 128 respondents who were randomly

selected. Researcher - made questionnaire and expert-

validated questionnaire checklist was utilized by the

researcher. Result of the study revealed that the most and

least prevailing learning style used by grade 11 General

Mathematics learners in the Blended Learning Environment,

Kinesthetic Learning Style is the most while, Auditory

Learning Style is the least preferred learning style. And

the General Mathematics Performance of the grade 11 learners

in the Blended Learning Environment, showed that learners

have Very Satisfactory Performance. Moreover, the results

revealed that there is no significant difference in the

learning style of the learners when they are group according

to sex and according to their socio- economic status. The

result also revealed that there is no significant difference

in General Mathematics Performance of the learners when they

are grouped according to sex while, there is a significant

difference in the learning style of the learners when they

are group according to socio-economic status. Furthermore,

the results revealed that there is a significant

relationship in the learning style and general mathematics

performance of grade 11 learners. Finally, the implication

of the study can guide teachers to plan and deliver

instructional interventions that best suited to the learning

style of the learners.
