ABSTRACT
The study focused on tracking the employment status of the BSEd English graduates of
Tarlac State University College of Education from academic years 2010-2018. Furthermore, it
looked into the effectiveness of the offered TSU BSEd English program using descriptive
standardized questionnaire adapted from the study of Cabrera (2016) was utilized in the data-
gathering. Mean and percentages were used primarily for the statistical treatment.
The results revealed that that majority of the graduates are ages 20-24 years old with the
percentage of 56.76 of the total population. Also, it was revealed that graduates who took or are
currently taking their masters have a percentage of 9.66 while 0.97 for those who have finished
or are currently taking their doctorate degree. Majority of the LET takers passed and most of
them on their first take, this gives an impression of 90.34 percent of LET passers. Moreover,
majority of the graduates are employed and on the field of teaching with permanent positions in
the public school. In terms of teaching and competency skills developed, the graduates gave very

satisfactory points especially in the Assessment of Learning and rated the values wherein self
-reliance has the highest rating. Regarding the usefulness of the major and professional subjects,
EM 11 or The Teaching of Listening and Reading was identified as the most useful in their field
of teaching. In accord, the graduates were mostly satisfied with the offered professional subjects
with very high mean. Finally, field study subjects were proven very useful to the program as
Based on the findings and conclusions, the recommendations are to consider adding extra
seminars and trainings for the students to have more experiences to develop their teachings skills
and other areas to contribute for their future profession. Another is for the professors and
instructors that may handle subjects that is not in-line with their expertise may be given leisure
time to study the subjects that they will teach to help them and the students they will be teaching.
