types of Polygon and lines as discussed in the lecture by
using AutoCAD so ware

AutoCAD is a powerful computer-aided design (CAD) Software that offers

various tools and commands to create different types of polygons and lines.
Here's an overview of some of the key tools and commands you can use to draw
polygons and lines in Auto CAD:
1)Line Command:
•Description: The line command is a basic tool for drawing straight lines.
•Usage:
1. Type "LINE" in the command line and press Enter.
2. Specify the start point by clicking in the drawing area.
3. Specify the endpoint by clicking again.
2)Polyline Command:
•Description: The polyline (or Pline) command is used to draw connected
sequences of Lines and arcs.
•Usage:
1. Type "PLINE" in the command line and press Enter.
2. Click to specify each vertex of the polyline
3. To finish the polyline, press enter
3) Polygon Command:
•Description: The polygon command is used to draw regular polygons (eg
triangles, squares. pentagons)...
Usage:
1. Type "POLYGON" in the command line and press Enter
2. Specify Centre Point
3. Enter the Number of sides (eg 3 for a triangle, 4 for a square.
4. You can specify additional options like inscribed or circumscribed
polygons
4) Rectangle command:
• Description: The rectangle command is used to draw
rectangles and Squares
• Usage:
1. Type "RECTANGLE" in the command line and press Enter
2. Specify one corner of the rectangle
3. Specify the opposite corner or enter dimensions
5) Circle Command:
• Description: The circle command is used to draw circles
• Usage:
1. Type “CIRCLE” in the command line and press Enter
2. Specify the center point
3. Enter the radius or diameter or use other otions like a tangent or
two points
6) ARC command:
• Description: The arc command is used to draw an arc of circles
Usage:
1. Type "ARC" in the command line and press Enter
2. Specify the start point
3. Specify the Endpoint
4. Specify additional parameters like radius or angle

7. Hatch Command:
• Description: The HATCH command is used to fill enclosed areas with a pa ern
or solid fill
Usage:
1. Type "HATCH" in the command line and press Enter
2. Select the enclosed area to be hatched
3. Choose the hatch pattern and scale

8. Polyline Edit Commands:

• Description: AutoCAD offers various commands to edit polylines, such as
PEDIT (Polyline Edit), which can be used to join break, or modify existing
polylines

These are some of AutoCAD's fundamental tools and commands for drawing
different polygons and lines. Depending on your specific needs and the
complexity of your design m you may also use additional tools like the offset,
filler, chamfer, or trim commands to refine your drawings further. Remember to
refer to AutoCAD’s documentation or tutorials for more detailed instructions and
tips on using these tools effectively
