ACTION PLAN

When waste is disposed improperly, it is done so in a way that harms the

environment, such as by littering, dumping hazardous waste on the ground, or not
recycling materials that should also be recycled. People's improper rubbish disposal
practices are one of the main sources of these problems. Some people throw their
trash out without thinking about the repercussions of their actions.
Environmental Issue: Improper Waste Management and Littering
Description: Improper waste management may lead to serious health problems,
obstruction of drains and loss of natural habitats. According to the residents of
Barangay Camambugan, one of the most evident problems that are happening in the
barangay is the improper waste disposal of the residents.
Cause: Improper waste disposal and littering. This problem is a result of
irresponsible waste management in the barangays, poor financial management, and
logistical disdain for fundamental aesthetics, industrial development, and commercial
expansion.

Effect: Various diseases started to appear like dengue, cholera, and tuberculosis. It
can also have an impact on the food supply since the growth of plants is hindered,
less food will be produced.
Goal: Recycling is one potential answer. Instead of tossing trash like bottles,
papers, and plastic in the street corners, it can be recycled. It will assist in
converting waste materials into items that everyone living in the barangay may use.
One example is a plastic bottle that they can use as a pot for the plants in the
barangay. Having a compost pit in one's own backyard is another option. Residents
can dispose of all of their organic waste in the compost pit, which they can then use
as fertilizer once it has decomposed for a while. They are burning all of their rubbish
in their backyard rather than throwing it anywhere, as other neighborhood residents
have also stated.
