YOUR LEARNING JOURNAL

In your journey through Teaching Beginning Reading and Early Reading Intervention Courses ,
you are asked to keep a learning journal or a study notebook where you can write such things as:

 key concepts/understanding and insights gained from the different topics;

 reactions, comments, questions in the discussions and activities;
 your relevant contributions to course discussions;
 others that you think are relevant to your development as an effective reading teacher and
school leader.

The learning journal can serve as a documentation of your learning experiences in the two
courses and ready reference to you teachers as you cater to the reading needs of your young
learners and to you school heads and supervisors as you assist the teachers .
Your learning journal is personal to you and should be useful to your own needs. You can decide
on the type of your journal ( a paper notebook or a notebook on your laptop/device) and the
format on how you will write notes . You can also share what you have in your learning journal
to your colleagues as deemed necessary in your journey of helping your young learners develop
their reading skills and their love for reading
