This is my father. His name is Chris Santos. I call
him “Daddy”. He is an architect. He goes to the
office every day. He drives me and my siblings to
school. He plays with us after work. He also helps
us with our homework. He loves and takes care of
us.

This is my mother. Her name is Diasy Santos. I call


her “Mommy”. She is a doctor. She goes to the
hospital every day. She takes care of us when we are
sick. She cooks food for us. She loves us so much.

These are my grandparents. As a sign of respect, we
Filipinos take the hands and press our forehead
lightly on them. Then we say “ mano po” to greet
the elders. We also do this as a way of asking for
their blessings.

This is my brother . He is older than me, I call him


Kuya Kevin. Kuya is what you call a brother who is
older than you. He is in grade 2. I like to play
basketball with him.

This is my sister. I call her Ate Aisa, because she is
older than me. You call someone Ate if she is older
than you. She is in grade 1. She likes to sing and
dance.

This is my younger sister. Her name is Joan. She is


the baby in the family. She likes to drink milk and
sleep.

The father is the head of the family. He works for the family.

The mother takes care of the family. She can also work to give the needs of the family.

The brother helps the father do home tasks.

The sister helps the mother do the work at home.

The baby gives joy to the family.
