Assignment 1: Deposit Insurance in Malaysia (15 marks)

This assignment will test the CLO3 in the syllabus which is digital skills.

Instructions

As the manager in the IT Department of a commercial bank in Malaysia, you need to create a
webpage to educate your depositors about the safety of their deposits placed in your banks.
To achieve this, you need to create a website to present the deposit insurance information to
your depositors. You need to create an anonymous bank (i.e., fake bank, do not use the real
banks in Malaysia) and explain the types of deposits you offered and how they are insured.

Your marks will be given based on how interesting and meaningful your website is. You must
also obtain the information about deposit insurance from reliable sources i.e., PIDM. Please
see the rubrics for LOC3d for detail scoring criteria.

The aim of this assignment is to see whether you are competent in using digital skills in
collecting and presenting information.

Submission

Due date: Thursday, Week 13 (18 January 2024 by 5.00 pm). You will need to submit the
website link.
