Future Continuous
We form the future continuous with: will + be + verb + -ing

We use it to talk about an action in progress at a certain time in the future.


• I will be working at 10:00 a.m.

* We often use it with phrases such as: In 2020, this time next year, in two
years’ time…
• This time next year I’ll be doing something completely different.
• In five years’ time they’ll be enjoying their retirement.

Future Perfect
We form the future perfect with: will + have + past participle

We use it to talk about an action completed by a certain time in the future.


• I will have finished my homework by 10 a.m.

* We often use it with phrases such as: by 2020, by this time next year, in
two years’ time…
• By 2020, measles will have disappeared.
• In ten years’ time many global health goals will have been achieved.
