ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The researcher expresses her highest thank to the Savior for blessing, love,

opportunity, health, and mercy to complete this undergraduate thesis. This

undergraduate thesis entitled “The students’ ability in identifying compound sentence

( A study on the third semester students of English Department FKIP UKI Toraja)”. It

is submitted as final project requirements in accomplishing undergraduate degree at

English Department of FKIP UKI Toraja. The researcher would like to express is

thanks and gratitude to her advisor Roni La’biran, M.Pd and Normalia Sirande, M.Pd

for their valuable help, guidance, correction, and suggestion for the completion of this

paper.

In arranging this thesis, lots of people have provided motivation, advice, and

support for the researcher. In this valuable chance, the researcher intended to express

her gratitude and appreciation to all of them.

Sattu) and her beloved mother (Sara Ruru), who always give prayer,

support, motivation, and moral encouragement both spiritual and material to

finish this study.

Malisa, Yonathan Sattu, Andarias Pakiding, Markus Sanda Limbongan, and
