STUDY PLAN

Kampala-July 24 ,2023

The Purpose of this Letter is to explain my study plan while studying in Canada as
part of the Visa Application process, I understand that a study plan is potential for
further process.

Objective

To pursue a Master of Divinity-Theological Studies at Tyndale University in

Canada.

Background

After volunteering at my Local Church for over six years in various church
departments, I appreciated the need to have trained and qualified leaders in
Christian leadership. This has aroused a desire in me to study further and be able to
help other people as well. With a Diploma in Discipleship and Ministry and a
bachelor’s in theology which I attained in 2020 (I did this remotely as I was
employed with Absa Bank Uganda Limited at the same time), I believe that a
graduate degree in Theology will enhance my abilities and chances of shifting
from the banking sector where I am currently working to fully be involved in
Christian Ministry.

My choice for studying in Canada for the program for which I have been
accepted.

I did research on several countries’ education systems and found that the quality of
Canada’s Education system is among the best and globally accepted. Furthermore,
Canada is a multicultural society, has respect for human rights, and is a stable
peaceful society making it easy for an international student. Acquiring a master’s
degree from Canada will undoubtedly make me even more competitive in the
Ugandan Labor Market. Tyndale University is one of the top Universities in
Canada with the best Seminary offering the best Theological courses.

My overall Education Goal

I have chosen to undertake this master’s degree to expand my knowledge in the
Field of Theology in preparation for Ordained Ministry and Christian leadership.
According to my research, the master’s in divinity -Theological Studies at Tyndale
University offers mentored study and practical experience which is what I need to
get into Christian Leadership in my Country.

Why I have not considered Pursuing a similar program in Uganda.

I have not considered perusing a similar program in Uganda because according to

the research that I have carried out I have not come across a university that offers
the exact program MDiv-Theological Studies with the exact content that I desire to
study, and I would also wish to take advantage of the quality of Education system
that is globally accepted.

The Research that I have done into studies in Uganda.

According to the research I have conducted in Uganda there are some Theological
Institutions that offer similar programs to what I want to peruse at Tyndale
University, but they do not have the exact course content and they do not offer the
Field Experience and the mentored Experience. In addition, comparing the quality
of Uganda’s Education system with that of Canada, the Canadian Education
system is better because it is internationally accepted, and Ugandan Education is
not.

How this program is going to enhance my employment opportunities in

Uganda

After completion of my program, I will return to my Motherland Uganda and I will

be able to use my degree in master’s in divinity-Theological studies from Tyndale
University, one of the best Universities in Canada. The degree will help me stand
out among other candidates and secure a job as an Administrator in a Christian
Organization more so at my local church. With the unique study experience abroad
and great effort, I confidently believe that I will have a successful and productive
career in Christian leadership an area that I am moving towards.

The ties I have to my Country of Residence

I have Family in Uganda. I have both my mother and father living in Uganda. In
addition, I have one (01) biological son aged 15 years and I have attached his Birth
certificate. He is in High School and in the Boarding section. I have planned for
him to stay with My Sister Angela Nalweyiso who is employed with the Petroleum
Authority of Uganda in Uganda and will be taking care of him during my time stay
in Canada.

I also have income property where I earn approximately 714 Canadian Dollars
monthly and treasury bonds with a total of 10,500 Canadian Dollars that give 200
Canadian Dollars monthly which income will supplement his upkeep while I am
studying in Canada.
