SUBJECT: STATEMENT OF PURPOSE TO SUPPORT MY STUDENT VISA APPLICATION .

Dear sir/madam,

My names are Angele Baruta Bahati a Rwandan citizen and permanent having a passport
Rwandan passport numbered PC727139 .I am a waitress in the business lounge of Emirates
airlines in UAE. The nature of my career calls for progressive advancement. Currently, I have a
diploma however it limits in many ways as am un able to compete fairly qualification -wise
hence the need to further my education by attending school again.

Having gone through the due process of application, I am blessed to have gained admission to
Niagara College Canada for a Honors Bachelor of Business Administration (Hospitality)
program. I appreciate the opportunity of sharing this statement of purpose to support my student
visa application to Canada

MY ACADEMIC AND PROFFESIONAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT SUMMARY

Upon finalizing the necessary secondary and related preliminary studies I attained a
Diploma in Leadership and Hospitality Management in December, 2013 followed by a
Certificate of Hospitality Management at Cornell University in October, 2020. In addition to
that, I worked with numerous recognized and respectable organizations such Golden tulip hotel,
Marriott hotel in Kigali and currently working for the Emirates airlines. I have maintained a
strong professional code of ethics this is verifiable by the references on my Curriculum vitae
attached to this document. I have an over 7 years employment experience in the field of
hospitality that explains how devoted I am to hospitality. It’s my life! Briefly, that’s my
academic and professional career development summary. I have shared it hoping that it can give
you an insight of who I am and paint a mental picture of passion as far as my career is
concerned.
WHY A HONORS OF BUSINESS ADMINSTRATION (HOSPITALITY) PROGRAM?

In the current world every sector is connected to business and every professional is expected to
think business wise other they are limited in some way or the other. The bottom line is, am under
the impression that everyone needs a business to not only earn better but rather express their
creativity in unimpeded environment. This explains my passion and need for business and
business knowledge.

Having got a lot of experience in the hospitality world, I thought it wise to venture into business
in the same field than gamble in other sectors. Coupling my two passions hospitality and
business, I ventured into searching for a program that could equip me with both skills at the same
go in the shortest time possible. No any other program could fit my need than the business
administration (hospitality) program .This explains how I choose the afore mentioned program.

The delighting part of it, is that its line with my experience, my earlier qualifications and my
future targets.

WHY CANADA AND NOT ANY OTHER COUNTRY?

My preference is Canada because of numerous reasons; however I will state a few key reasons
as below;

a) Canada is one of the safest countries on earth when you contemplate about the current
occurrences in other countries that would be possible options in terms of security and
safeness.
b) The Canadian culture is welcoming! I strongly believe I will blend into the Canadian
culture easily as compared to what other international students experience when they
study in countries which have extremely contrasting cultures .That affects academics as
well.
c) The most crucial reason is that, the Canadian education is impeccable in all ways because
it offers quality hands on training unlike in some countries where education is theoretical.
d) I admire and crave to attain the global exposure in the academic environment! I strongly
believe this will be another inter-personal skills sharpening opportunity unlike in my
country. This is non –existent as most universities don’t have a multi –cultural and
ethnical students’ population.
e) Canadian education is affordable unlike other countries where education costs arms and
legs.
The list lingers on , however I will cease listing more reasons at this point as am
convinced you now have a vivid understanding of how I chose Canada . I believe this
highly important as well when it comes to making your decision towards issuing me a
visa.
 WHY NIAGARA COLLEGE?

In addition to the earlier stated benefits of studying in Canada, where of course Niagara College
is situated, Niagara College has the following advantages over other colleges.

It’s ranking! Niagara College is ranked among the first 5 top colleges in Canada when it comes
to the program i intend to study. For example Niagara College has research based education
facilities, food and beverage innovation centers, business commercialization centers and
academic facilitating set ups such as accessible libraries, and few colleges have set up all this to
enhance quality education. The most amazing fact is that; its still pocket-friendly .Therefore, I
Chose Niagara College.

FUNDING OF THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC VENTURE AND RELATED COSTS IN

CANADA

My parents have always been excited and willing to fund my academic ventures! They are
willing to pay for my tuition and meet all related costs including travel expenses I will utilize
my personal income for expenses I chose to incur personally, but all necessities will be catered
or. Please find an attached bank statement to verify my parents financial capability to sponsor
me. I am convinced that at this stage you are convinced that the financial aspect bit of it has been
well pre –evaluated , planned for and shouldn’t be a hold back as far my visa application is
concerned.

PROOF OF RETURN

My business aims, career development and investment plans are more favored in Rwanda than
Canada. Therefore I intend to only travel to Canada purposely for studying and return to Rwanda
to implement the acquired skills and knowledge .I intend to work with the Rwandan government
in the field of hospitality! As I will have to start my own hospitality company .The benefits
attached to this are innumerable as compared to other options, as I would not have the same
opportunities in another country.

More importantly, I have deep family ties in all Rwanda, I don’t have any relatives in Canada, I
would therefore love to return to Rwanda and help my parents in their old age. Furthermore my
parents who are my sponsors and have authority over expect me to return upon graduation and
visit them during my studies as well.

CONCLUSION

Finally, I hope and believe that I have shared all the necessary information to aid you decide
appropriately in my favor, please contact me if you need supplementary information. I will
commence studies on the 5th of September 2023 and am expected to finalize studies on the 23rd of
April 2027. My program takes 4 years. I now hereby politely request you to issue me a student
