RESEARCH TITLE:Impact of Information and Communication Technology on the students of RIZAL HIGH

SCHOOL for Academic Performance

As an ICT student. ICT gives students a better understanding and enhances their retention capability by
using different information technology tools The impact of ICT students’ on RIZAL HIGH SCHOOL for
academic performance includes benefits and some challenges, but the benefits outweigh the challenges.

THESIS STATEMENT

The qualitative research on information and communication technology at the Rizal high school on ICT
student from studies examining the skills needed for reading consuming and produsing information
online to the communication practices taking place within social media and virtual environment

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Information and Communication Technology is one of the foremost technologies among the emerging
technologies that play an important role in every sphere of human endeavour. It has witnessed a massive
transformation over the years which makes teaching and learning easier and more enjoyable, and has
changed the ways people live, learn, work, and play. Consequently, the internet has been a vital tool to
the present information society, and a world without the internet is unimaginable (Adelakun et al.,
2020). This study aims to investigate the impact of information and communication technology on
students’ learning engagement and academic performance. According to UNESCO, Information and
communication technology (ICT) is defined as a technological and engineering discipline that uses
scientific and management techniques in information handling (Ratheeswari, 2018).

SUPPORTING SENTENCE

For effective integration of ICT in instructional process it can be inferred that the factors that teachers’
attitudes on ICT student at rizal high school competence computer self-efficacy professional
development teaching experience education level technical support accessibility leadership support

RATIONALE
Investigating the effects of ICT on students’ retention, the findings reveal that ICT was found more
effective on students’ retention as compared to traditional teaching methods. The results are consistent
with the findings of Oginni and Popoola (2013) who found that by using information and communication
technology, students’ retention scores were better when contrasted with those who were instructed via
conventional methods. The students of experimental group retained better than those of control group.
Thus, this research affirms the results of the aforementioned researches that claim that students learn
and retain better when they are taught through ICT.

CONCLUSION

The rapid development in ICT has brought revolution in the twenty-first century and has influenced the
needs of advanced societies ICT student on Rizal high school is becoming progressively significant in
education as well as in our everyday lives. The findings revealed that ICT positively affects students’
academic accomplishment and retention in the subject of chemistry. The media was found more
